Hi, my username is Jelenzen, though on most games/forums my name is Mazrim.

I mostly play casual-competitive commander, which means using good cards and making good decks, but promoting games which are fun for all involved. For those who think you can only be one or the other, there is always a balance.

More recently I've been trying my hand in the competitive Modern scene. I live in College Station, TX and go to Modern tournaments at Clockwork Games every Wednesday. The problem is that I'm a jank deck brewer. I like making interesting decks, usually around a theme, but I follow competitive deckbuilding tenets to make them as consistent and viable as possible, to varying degrees of success.

My favorite theme is the ally creature type, which I have a ton of experience testing. I even went so far as to write the first ever Modern Ally Primer on the internet (so far as I've been able to find), so if you have any questions or comments about allies, let me know! I will always offer my two-cents on any competitive ally deck if you message me.
