  • Ignoble Hierarch is unfortunately illegal in this deck :( You can only play cards whose color identity is a subset of your commander's color identity. Color identity is determined by the mana symbols on the card (not just the mana cost but any abilities). Ignoble has red which rules it out of muldrotha
  • A few more 4 & 6 drop creatures would help smooth out the higher end of your creature mana curve to make pod better
  • Sandstone oracle is a decent 7 drop but there are a lot better ones in these colors and there are also so many better card draw options in these colors (especially blue-black). there are even creatures at around 6-8 mana that draw lots of cards. I can't think of them off the top of my head bc i'm tired but there are plenty
  • soul-shackled zombie is kind of low impact. it only drains for two life one time (even with muldrotha/other graveyard shenagins it's a slow rate) and you also need to meet a condition (albeit super easy in this deck)
  • i have the same thoughts for priest of gix as soul-shackled zombie but this one is cooler if you wanna do shenigans with recurrings it a bunch
  • yarrok's fenlurker. again, same argument as previous two. and as marginal as it is, you'd generally prefer cards in graveyards in this deck (even if it's your opponents' yards)
  • For your utility non-creature cards (stuff like counterspell, seal of primordium), it's generally best to find creature alternatives for a birthing pod deck. even if they cost more mana, that inefficiency is compensated by the fact that they're so much easier to find with Pod/your other creature tutors. counterspell isn't the best example because it just is that efficient but if you wanted to go super hard into creatures, there's mystic snake and frilled mystic! ones like seal of primordium have really good creature equivalents (like reclamation sage which you already run) but there are so many others (my personal fav after rec sage is purification druid bc it almost always kills 3 three things). I will say Muldrotha does encourage you to play other card types for utility effects which slightly conflicts with the birthing pod strategy which wants to commit almost 100% to creatures so something to consider how you want to balance these. reanimate, for another example, could be replaced by phyrexian delver or body double
  • in a similar vein, if you do want to commit more/fully to creatures, I would strongly suggest more creature tutors like Chord of Calling and Finale of Devastation (doubly good here because it can get stuff from the graveyard and triply good because the overrun effect- this card is just busted in any deck tbh)
  • rancor. I'd probably drop this because it pretty much just gives one of your creatures trample and nothing else. This is definitely useful but I don't think it'll come up too much. You're a creature-heavy deck which already means you have the advantage on the battlefield, you have a lot of utility/removal cards to get rid of blockers, and you also have a really strong package of high-drop creatures (which are bigger/wider) (i also really like this part about your deck)
  • mourner's surprise is another card that's good once and also kind of low impact. i generally don't like effects that return creatures from the yard to hand because they have to be recast (susceptible to coutnerspells) and (usually) wait a whole turn cycle to start attacking. if you want more creature recursion, just go for reanimation effects
