How to Create a Cube

Building a cube is a fun way to draft with your friends without opening packs. You can also build a cube-based around a theme. A cube is a custom set of cards. Typically cubes only have one of each card, but that’s not always the case.

To create a cube, first, navigate to the Draft Simulator. From here, you’ll want to click on Cube Draft. Next, you’ll click the blue button at the top of the page labeled Create a Cube.

On this page, you’ll be able to identify the parameters of your cube.

You can start by naming the cube. Next, you’ll denote if you want your cube to include pre-release MTG cards. After that, you can curate a share list. You can only share your deck with your TappedOut friends, but you can always add a friend by clicking the "Add a friend" button on that user's profile page.

If you don’t want your cube to be visible to the public, click the checkbox that says private. The friends listed in your share list will still be able to see your cube, even if the cube is listed as private. Next, you’ll determine the cube’s super category (listed as Default super cat) and Default Grouping. If you reorder categories, it will make the columns even when the cube displays.

If you click inv sync, your cube will be synced to your inventory.

You can also choose how many commons, uncommons, rares, and randoms you have in your cube. You can also leave the input blank for a random distribution. When creating a cube, it’s a good idea to think about the intended use of the cube.
