This Saturday I got 3rd. There were 12 players and 3 rounds of swiss.

Round 1: Mono-Red Storm 2-1

Bojuka Bogs trashed his strategy and Percy came in handy for tying up the final game. Nothing too special here.

Round 2: Affinity 2-0

Blood Moon turned to be a dead draw for him, and my constant sacrificing/lifelink proved to be too much for his artifact beatdown. I sided in Dismember and Thoughtseize as well as Dash Hopes , all of which came in handy.

Round 3 - The Gate Mirror 2-0

This version of The Gate was built alongside me as I built this deck in the shop months ago to prepare for Modern. The major difference was the choice to run Phyrexian Obliterator Mainboard in place of Percy. I was able to wreck his hand faster and field my beaters before he could sacrifice them. Liliana also came in handy to keep him locked down both games. I sided in Dismember and Dash Hopes .

Semifinal Match: Ramp Infect 1-2

I came into the Elimination matches as 1st place and promptly lost to my progeny running infect. The first game was lost via rancor and not being able to eliminate creatures fast enough. Game 2 I sided in Dismember Dash Hopes and Extirpate . Lifelink came in handy as I was able to effortlessly use Phyrexian Arena to beat her out with pure card advantage and smart blockers. Game 3 I lost to the famous turn 2 pump infect combo. Was a good match regardless.
