Don't think any of the other cards are worth hating on. Goblin Bushwhacker .

nothing singlehandedly negates a Bestial Menace like Whiplash Trap

Well, Negate does, too...

I think i am sticking with Goblin Bushwhacker I agree none of those other cards are particularly useful or scary. Any chance we move to the next pack soon?

Depends on the next few responses I get. If they're strongly in favor of one card, I'll move on.

um no Goblin Bushwhacker is not an auto pick,Whiplash Trap is an amazing card and should be counted as removal/combat tricks. and it is superior to goblin-bushwhaker.

so we need to pick Whiplash Trap

Normally I'd back up the Whiplash Trap camp on this one, but at this point in our draft I'm really comfortable with the amount of removal/combat tricks we have in our arsenal. I do favor it over Lethargy Trap , but to be honest, we're really already leaning heavy red.

Pick up another Goblin Bushwhacker

Goblin Bushwhacker . Whiplash is good, yes, but give your army +1/+0 and haste for RR? Kthanx. We've got enough removal, this helps keep up tempo and pressure, or can help us regain it if they're stabilizing.

Normally I'd go with Whiplash Trap to deal with the Umara Raptor beating we're going to get, but I'm fairly convinced at this point that we'll end up mono-red. I vote Goblin Bushwhacker .

we already have 2 Goblin Bushwhacker , a third really isn't needed. if we pick Whiplash Trap now we can bounce 2 of their creatures to their hands instead of using burn for 1 dude. we keep our burn wich you want to throw at your opponents face ideally for the win, and if we draw 1 of our 2!! Goblin Bushwhacker , kick it for the winn????? (which might i add is a good number in limited, 3 can be excessive unless its an amazing card). and also if you have 2 bushwhaker in hand they becomes usless if you cast him as a 1/1. so now you have to wait to get enough creatures out to cast him. the trap is good at the end of your turn, if you have excess mana in ur turn or if they lay down 2 creatures, or if they pump their creatures out of our burn range. bam!! its a trap you just got a 3 for 1 if they only cast 1 pump spell. or they could attempt to burn your creature and you trap that creature and 1 of his...still 2 for 1.

made my case yet?

Goblin Bushwhacker fo sho. it'll help fill in that curve that people are concerned about - and I mean, at the worst, it's 2/1 haste for two red, and that really isn't too bad. Whiplash Trap is kind of tempting for later in the game, and it's another alternate way to scoop back up our Living Tsunami if it's returning too many cards... but a hasty attacker comes out ahead of tech, I think.

I'm really wondering why nobody so far is even considering Lethargy Trap ... but then again I'm all kinds of casual so this is all very new to me - but in light of what we already have, no reason not to bring home a third Goblin Bushwhacker , I suppose... I'll vote for the Trap, myself.

the problem with Lethargy Trap is that at best it only cancels out an attack - maybe it wins a few combats by allowing you to make more favourable matches between creatures. Whiplash Trap on the other hand is temporary removal - if they've got out a couple of 4-cost creatures and they're smacking you with them, you force them to recast one, wait a turn, then recast the other, and only at that point re-attack with the first one again. Basically it slows them down a lot more.
