Sejiri Merfolk . Other options are Bull Rush , Akoum Battlesinger , and maybe Razor Boomerang , but Bull Rush just isn't good enough, Akoum Battlesinger is worse long-term, and Razor Boomerang ....is Razor Boomerang .

(I'd go with the Akoum Battlesinger over the merfolk because the battlesinger is a legitimate hate draft candidate, as well as a card that we can use.

That said, I'm surprised it's made it this far around if anyone's using red allies...)

I vote for the Akoum Battlesinger . Though it makes me grind my teeth after passing on the Excavators and Raptors.

If I'm not mistaken that's the second set of Summit Apes we've seen. Those are going to hurt somebody.

haters gonna hate, but when I drafted ww/ww/ww, the Razor Boomerang was actually bizarrely useful in one guy's deck... I don't particularly care about any cards in this pack, so I'll throw my vote away on the equipment. :)

I vote Sejiri Merfolk would have gone battlesinger had we choosen one ealier, or made a few different ally picks... but we didn't so sticking with the merfolk.

I'm not gonna lie, I'm the noob here, but why isn't Bull Rush the obvious choice? I know it's only a power boost, but early beats with our Welkin Tern or our Plated Geopede could benefit.

TridenT: Bull Rush is a possible 2 damage for R. It's pretty much a worse Shock in the majority of cases.

2 for 2/1 or 2 for 1/1 that has haste and +1/+0 on turn 1...I'd go with the Merfolk.

I think it's interesting to note that this is pack 8, so everyone saw the Sejiri Merfolk and passed on it? Makes me wonder...

I know we can handle it if it comes out against us, but why isn't anyone worried about the Summit Apes ? Isn't that a pretty good beater for green/red... Granted all the great red that was passed to us I'm left to wonder why. Either the other colors were beastly, or there was something better in color over the red we took and the apes. All that aside though,I'm not too worried about the merfolk, and we can actually use the battlesinger. Akoum Battlesinger it is
