turn 2 first game for rest you activated quicksand to early in your senario the creature wasn't attacking yet so it was an illegal action.
August 28, 2011 11:48 p.m.
turn two, forest makes an illegal play by sacrificing Quicksand and targeting a creature that isn't attacking.

Also turn 8, after Cata plays Lightning Bolt, why would he sacrifice the token it targets? No reason not to, and if I'm not mistaken, this would have allowed Hand of Emrakul.
August 28, 2011 11:51 p.m.
... So this just stops right after the second game began.
And, for what it's worth, Rest was down to 2 because the Searing Blaze on Turn 9 should've hit the player even though Vines of Vastwood saved his creature.
And, yadda yadda, Quicksand yadda attacking creatures only yadda...

also if your plan was to sac the tokens for mana to cheat in a creature then you could still sac the other token in response to the lightning bolt.
August 28, 2011 11:56 p.m.
Well fuck. I suck at this apperently.
I ALWAYS MAKE THAT MISTAKE WITH QUICKSAND. I HATE MY LIFE.
August 29, 2011 12:02 a.m.
Ugh I do make mistakes, thank you guys for catching them.

actually from the cards that were drawn and the way cards were played red would've won game 1 before turn 8.
August 29, 2011 12:16 a.m.
Bleh. Even though I'd be happy if the good 'ole CATASTROPHE won one (I made it), I'd rather have a re-do.
S'all good, Leaf.
August 29, 2011 12:18 a.m.
I let For Rest go first in game 1 because he lost game 2, so it's like they essentially reversed with Game 2 being game 1 and game 1 being 2. It's like nothing bad ever happened. :)
August 29, 2011 12:25 a.m.
Red Pauper CATASTROPHE! wins his first round match.
Next pairing will be started shortly. Just need a break.

That seems un-surprising somehow. ...mutters something about kiln fiends...
August 29, 2011 1:17 a.m.
Haha. I think I only had 1 Kiln Fiend in my hand the whole time while playing.
August 29, 2011 1:19 a.m.
I'm hella tired. The game 2 will be done tomorrow for U/W.
August 29, 2011 2:53 a.m.
Aww I'm the only one not to get a game played yet lol. Could've sworn the blue deck would win, it's definitely good. But hey, grats to Commoners! (and catastrope!)
mozerdozer says... #1
You made a slight mistake. Rest sacrificed Quicksand when Plated Geopede wasn't attack on turn two. Quicksand says attacking creature.
