Caley's deck- The Doom That Came To Sarnath. This deck brought to you by Atlach-Nacha- "Cooking up Voormithadrethian grub since before the dawn of man!"

Game 1

Caley plays first and keeps an opener of Island, Forest, Hinterland Harbor, Ghost Quarter, Birds of Paradise, and 2x Dissipate.

This is going to be so fun.

Enemy mulligans to 5 cards.

SO fun.

T1

C plays Forest for Birds of Paradise and passes.

E plays Plains for Champion of the Parish and passes.

T2

C draws Volition Reins, plays Hinterland Harbor, and passes.

E plays Plains and attacks with Champion of the Parish, then passes. (Enemy 20, Caley 19).

T3

C draws Stoic Rebuttal.

Cue the Beatles.

C plays Island and passes.

E plays Plains, attacks with Champion, and passes. (Enemy 20, Caley 18).

T4

C draws Moldgraf Monstrosity, plays Ghost Quarter, and passes.

E plays Plains and casts Doomed Traveler. Caley Dissipates it. E attacks with Champion, which hits. (Enemy 20, Caley 17). E passes.

T5

C draws Hinterland Harbor, plays it, and passes.

E plays Moorland Haunt and casts Hero of Bladehold. C Dissipates it. E attacks with Champion and hits. (Enemy 20, Caley 16). E passes.

U/W Humans needs U badly.

T6

C draws Birds of Paradise and casts it, then passes.

E casts Angelic Destiny targeting Champion of the Parish, but C Stoic Rebuttals it.

I could just steal it too, but that would be less fun.

E attacks with the Champion (Enemy 20, Caley 15) and passes.

T7

C draws Acidic Slime and plays it blowing up Moorland Haunt. He passes.

E casts Champion of the Parish and Honor of the Pure. (His champions are now 3/3 and 2/2). He attacks with the 3/3 champion. It trades with Acidic Slime. E passes.

T8

C draws Forest and plays it. He casts Moldgraf Monstrosity and E concedes.

Sideboarding

No changes. Like the deck the way it is against U/W Humans. I know they typically run Mana Leak, which makes Autumn's Veil a consideration, but I'd rather just ramp past Mana Leak.

Game 2

E plays first and mulls to 6.

Caley keeps the opener of 2x Island, Forest, Birds of Paradise, Stoic Rebuttal, Cudgel Troll, Volition Reins.

E keeps their 6 hand.

T1

E plays Glacial Fortress tapped and passes.

C draws Forest, plays it, and casts Birds of Paradise, then passes.

T2

E plays Moorland Haunt and passes.

C draws Island, plays it, and passes.

T3

E does nothing and passes.

C draws Stoic Rebuttal. He plays Island and passes.

Yes yes y'all, and you don't stop.

T4

E plays Plains and passes.

C draws Ambush Viper, plays Forest, and passes.

T5

E plays Moorland Haunt and passes. C flashes down Ambush Viper in the end step.

C draws Moldgraf Monstrosity, plays Island, and passes.

Didn't attack. Should have.

T6

E does nothing and passes.

I'm not sure what's up here. He has five lands out and is doing nothing. I think he has teh Mana Leak Ph33r.

C draws Ambush Viper. He attacks with Viper and passes. (Caley 20, Enemy 18).

T7

E casts Mirran Crusader. C casts Stoic Rebuttal on it. E passes.

LET'S DO IT, I'M PLAYING SOME MAGIC: THE GATHERING STANDARD RIGHT NOW, WE COULD GET SOME FOOTAGE OF THAT! YEEEAAAAAHHHH! WOOOOOOOOO!! BOOM, COUNTERSPELL

C draws Dissipate. He attacks with Viper and passes. (Caley 20, Enemy 16).

T8

E casts Grand Abolisher. E Dissipates it.

BOOM, COUNTERSPELL

C draws Stoic Rebuttal. He attacks with Viper and passes. (Caley 20, Enemy 14).

T9

E casts Mirran Crusader. C Stoic Rebuttals it.

I CAN DANCE ALL DAY, I CAN DANCE ALL DAY, TRY AND RESOLVE A SPELL, TRY AND RESOLVE A SPELL, COME ON!............... BOOM, COUNTERSPELL YEEEEEAAAAHHHHHHH

C draws Mayor of Avabruck  Flip and casts it. E responds with Flashfreeze. C casts Stoic Rebuttal on the Flashfreeze, and the Mayor resolves.

SO YEAH I LIKE PERMISSION, WHAT CAN I SAY, THERE'S NOTHING LIKE THE RUSH OF HUNTING SPELLS DOWN AND KILLING 'EM. I MEAN, MY HEART'S BEATIN', MY HEART'S BEATIN', MY HANDS ARE SHAKIN', MY HANDS ARE SHAKIN', BUT I'M STILL TAPPING LANDS, AND I'M STILL COUNTERING SPELLS, IT'S LIKE BOOM COUNTERSPELL, BOOM COUNTERSPELL, BOOOOOOOM, COUNTERSPELL

C attacks with Viper and hits, then passes. (Caley 20, Enemy 12).

T10

E plays Seachrome Coast and casts Hero of Bladehold, then passes.

C draws Forest and plays it. He casts Volition Reins stealing Hero of Bladehold. E concedes. Caley wins the match 2-0.

WOOOOOOO YEAAAAAHHHH

Thoughts

1 - Not a very good run by the enemy deck; just really bad luck. I usually skip games that are completely uninformative and pointless like this one, but it was too fun to avoid.
