After the voting from last time was compiled, here are our winners to the Monoblack Morglen Challange. After taking into consideration your comments and thoughts on the cards, the design team did make a few slight changes to the original submitted cards.

Basically left him as is. The design team want the P/T to be a bit more unique. So we thought about 2/1, but then decided that this guy should not die to Hornet Sting. Then 0/3 was suggested, but it did not feel aggressive enough, so we landed at 1/2. | |

Casting cost was the only issue with this card. Since it is a highly multicolored set, we want things easy to splash. So BBB was a bit too much. We felt that 2B would be fine and maybe will need to be changed to 3B in playtesting if the prior seems overpowered. In the final card we also added the flavor text provided by the author back in. | |

Morglen Green/White Challenge
In this shard there are two Major tribes, the Gladeparters and the Tharin'l, both of elves. The Gladeparters are centered around true democracy and hold their tribal council with the Tharin'l though they get along less and less as the year go on. Both tribes believe in order in nature and are willing to die for it. Nature is nearly worshiped by these elves in a religious fashion. The Gladeparters led by Doreer, the elder, follow the normal worship of nature and realize the plans of the youth around them but decide as a group to not devise a plan against them. All that they concentrate on is that nature and right will prevail and that they will gladly die protecting both. Both societies have the technology level of an iron age society. They have Iron weapons and armor, yet their buildings are more hut like in nature, some on the ground and some in the trees. Neither architecture nor creating artifacts is a focus of this nation.

If both tokens, that enter the battlefield from this ability's effect, enter under your control, they (lose/are not) legendary. Play this ability only as a socery.
Sorry if the last one's wording is a bit hard to understand, I've been working on it and I believe that the wording means that if the creature is not yours, it will die, if it is yours, you get two tokens of a legendary creature that stay.

Increase it's cost by 1 maybe?
It is a rare for a reason and you would have to run life gain stuff to use it which means you couldn't really use it for much before 4th turn or so. You have to consider that you also have to gain life somehow which costs mana as well and has to be played that turn with it. It's really not a whole lot better than rampant growth until later in the game and it's harder to play... or is that just me?

Elixir of Immortality with Vitality's Growth would give you a total of nine lands at the end of your fourth turn, for example.
That's not to say that this imaginary set would have Elixir of Immortality , but cards are often printed with similar (if not better) abilities.
Hell, even Kabira Crossroads is 2 fetched lands on the third turn (or second turn with a Birds of Paradise ). It's Harrow for 2 mana without the land-sac.
card:Nature's Claim, Oust , Rest for the Weary (my personal favorite, lol), Viridian Harvest , card:Whitesun's Passage, so on and so forth.
Again, this isn't to bash you or your card, or anything like that. I'm just pointing out a Mental Misstep in the design.

Perhaps just adding mana to your mana pool would be better than fetching lands and putting them right into play.
Something like, "Add 1 (colorless) to your mana pool equal to the amount of life you gained this turn."
I feel like adding even just all of one color would open up huge wormhole-like combos into things like turn-3 Titans and card:Sorin's Vengeance.

I think that this is still a solid card that doesn't do a lot early game but is great mid to late game. I don't feel that it is now broken. Thanks for pointing out it's flaws zandl

If anything, that card gets more powerful, not less, as its cost goes up. I'm not sure if you can count the number of mana spent each turn; it would be less powerful, but maybe use a wording like on Glissa Sunseeker ?

@oltskul - you are correct. i meant it to be understood that hybrid mana and flip cards and such could not be used as they were not evergreen mechanics. i should have written it out though because you are correct that it was not clear at all in the description.
Glad that you resubmitted new cards so that we can take a look at your designs. Sorry for the inconvenience. I will be more careful of that with the next challenge areticle

My second entry:
Vitality Gamble
2WG(4 CMC)
Instant
You may only cast Vitality Gamble during an Upkeep. Until end of turn, if an opponent would pay life this turn, you may gain twice that much life. For each creature your opponent has enter the battlefield from the graveyard this turn, you may search your library for a basic land card and put it into play tapped.
Skip your next turn.
This has potential to be broken, awesome, and useless all at once. I love it.

Chorus of the Thran'il

As an additional cost to Chorus of the Thran'il, sacrifice a creature.
Look at the top X cards of your library where X is the converted mana cost of the sacrificed creature. Choose one or both. Reveal one creature and place it in on the battlefield tapped. Reveal one land and place it on the battlefield tapped.
Place the rest of the cards on the bottom of your library in any order.

At beginning of your upkeep you may remove any one counter from enchanted permanent other than -1/-1 counters; if enchanted permanent is a creature place a -1/-1 counter on enchanted creature.
1GB: Return All Consuming Forest to your hand. This can only be done when you could cast a sorcery.

Forest's Edge - enchantment (1GW)
Enchant target land you control.
When enchanted land is tapped for mana add either W or G to your mana pool.
1WG(T): Tap enchanted land for no mana. Return Forest's Edge to your hand. Target creature you control gains hexproof untill end of turn.
