Hey there Tappedouters! Last month we decided to have an open voting for People's Choice Player of the Month and an admin chosen Player of the Month. And that worked out, well, not the best idea. So this month we changed it to One admin chosen player and one People's Choice Player of the Month, but this timethe voting was from a list of admin chosen players. If your missed out on this month's voting, make sure to friend us on Facebook for next month's.
Admin Selected winner
This month we had a user become very important overnight. A user on tapped who helped create a new format that seems to have caught on like wildfire. Thank you graft. Your current and previous contributions to the site through hard work and diligence are much appreciated. if you are not familiar with this burgening format see here: Introducing Noble the Format.
People's Choice winner
The people's choice winner is someone I have known about for a while. He can be seen making comments on articles, decks, walls, trading up a storm and basically just being active. In addition to this, he was also a contributor to the aforementioned Noble format. but most importantly, he was the top vote winner by a landslide. So here's to you KorApprentice!
So what does he win Bob
Well thanks to yeaGO and our partners at Cool Stuff Games, user:koraprentice and graft will each be receiving a $50 gift certificate to www.coolstuffinc.com/! Please enjoy, buy some cards, build a deck, you know...do that stuff that magic players do.
As an additional prize that I started in July, the winner gets the honor of being represented in cards designed by me. So exciting!!! (sarcasm)
This month i did not attempt to ask the users about themselves. (I mean who cares what they like really, :) ) I just went with a couple concepts. I figured that since the Noble format these guys are working on was mostly about commons and uncommons, I would make cards that were easily playable in the format. Since the format may be a wave of the future of magic, I used the futuresight card design (yeah I said it, it was cheesy, wanna fight about it?). Lastly I tried to get clear inspiration from the user names. KorApprentice was kinda clear cut in the build. graft, I kinda wanted to represent the mechanic graft but without being on a creature. So I tried to translate it as best I could. Many drafts of this before the final one. Most had more flavor and broke rules like crazy. So here they are!

Hope you enjoy the cards and the prizes!

Congrats guys! Both of you definitely deserve this, and quite frankly I'm surprised it took this long for KorApprentice to get it. I love the futuresight-esque cards, also.

Very unexpected that it would be a common and an uncommon, what a nice touch! Though, too bad they cannot be used as Nobles, haha. Thank you so much for the card, who would have thought that I would get to be the Prince of Persia! Completely badass, I am honored! Thank you Tappedout for voting for me, this is an incredible prize! Also, I had the Zendikar Kor in mind when I made my username, but I think it is very cool that my card is in the En-Kor style.

Well-deserved, both of you. May Noble grow to be as popular as the formats it bridges the gap between!

Holy cats, this is ridiculously awesome. Thanks to everyone who has been supporting Noble (Introducing Noble: the Format), it's been incredibly successful so far thanks to this marvelous community. Check out the thread if you want to see some of the fantastic folks that have been contributing so far, make your own Noble deck, or let me know what you think. We're taking the first fledgeling step towards legitimacy by starting our own website, which I'll try to get up over the next couple of weeks.
squire1 , fantastic work on the cards, I love 'em (including the Futuresight art). I've been using the username graft on the intertubes since before MtG ever adopted it as a keyword, so I have a particular affinity for graft cards. Making mine an instant is a brilliant touch.
KorApprentice won! I love that guy! :D
