Hey there Tappedouters! This month we have one winner again. OMG! That's 2 months in a row that I actually narrowed it down to one person.
Who are the winners
The winner this month is metalmagic. He has been with us for about a yeah now. metalmagic can be seen all over the site, making comments and giving advise as well as taking full advantage of the trading features on the site.
So what does he win Bob
Well thanks to yeaGO and our partners at Cool Stuff Games, metalmagic will be receiving a $100 gift certificate to www.coolstuffgames.com! Please enjoy, buy some cards, build a deck, you know...do that stuff that magic players do.
As an additional prize that I started in July, the winner gets the honor of being represented in cards designed by me. So exciting!!! (sarcasm)
The card
So for the card this time around, I found that metal magic was a big fan of cards like Fauna Shaman and Vengevine. While these cards are his preference in playing, green just didn't scream the name metalmagic to me. So i decided to go with a version of Fauna Shaman for blue using artifacts instead. I figure that it would have a similar appeal and not be too broken.
metalmagic
Tinker is broken and this is reuseable. But you may be right.

You could make it have a stoneforge second ability (although with a much greater cost to prevent brokenness). Overall I like the flavor of the card, and congratulations.

It's not a weak Tinker . Just as Fauna Shaman is analagous to Survival of the Fittest , so is this card to Artificer's Intuition (except slightly better).
Congratulations, man.

Congrats metalmagic very deserving!!
Awesome card by the way. I like it. It seems like it isn't incredibly broken, but all the same pretty good.

I like that it is almost an overpowered Artificer's Intuition , but the fact that it is a creature makes it vulnerable, so it is not too broken.

Wow, I really like the card. Thanks! I've actually been on the site for 1 year and 4 months now, although I wasn't very active at the beginning primarily using the site for the free draft feature. I love the site and it's been awesome seeing it grow in popularity, functionality, and as just a great place to come for advice for anything in general. Thanks again, everyone!

I think because of this, I may be interested in doing a weekly article on casual to semi-competitive deckbuilding around user-submitted cards/combos, kind of like I did on a forum post a couple months ago. I got great feedback for that, so I think this could be a fun and successful undertaking, too. If anyone even sees this comment, what do you think?

metalmagic, I think it's a pretty awesome idea. Articles like that help people think differently, and I think that's something important in magic, where we all have a habit of getting "stale" with our ideas.
Who knows? A weekly article like that could have the effect of giving some one the idea for the next winning deck idea! Heck, I'd be pretty proud of myself for just inspiring people.
So, yes. I think this should happen.

First off, congrats, metalmagic.
Secondly, I also support that weekly article idea. Custom cards are lots of fun, and they would be even more fun if approached from the deckbuilder's viewpoint instead of just as an individual card.
