Hey there Tappedouters! So This month I had a brilliant idea. I figured that it would be a great idea to have you all vote for player of the month. So I made a posting on Facebook and had people vote for whomever they would like. That person is the People's Choice player of the month. Then the site admin would choose another person that we thought would be a great player of the month for contributions that we have seen around the site.

So I went back to two winners for this month, but in different categories. Not sure whether this idea will continue or not in the future. But alas we did it this month and here are the results.

Who are the winners

Admin Selected winner

So for the admin team's winner we chose fireteam. fireteam has become a very active member of the site that you can see making the occasional deck, or comment. He has gotten most involved in the trading side of the site. There is not a day that goes by that I do not see comments on other user's profiles about trades. He keeps people informed and up to date, and is a really nice and responsible guy about it.

In addition to being a good trader and commenter, he has actually created content for the site, that many of you may not have seen. There is a video he posted on his user profile about proper shipping and he even offered the video up to the site admin to use if we wish (which we may still take him up on). Seems like a great guy all around and that is what we like to see.

People's choice winner

The people's choice winner is someone I am a little less familiar with named crazyeights. Because it was up to community voting, I can only assume that community members have had positive interactions with this individual. Sadly I don't know much else about him, so congratulations anyway.

So what does he win Bob

Well thanks to yeaGO and our partners at Cool Stuff Games, fireteam and crazyeights will each be receiving a $50 gift certificate to www.coolstuffgames.com! Please enjoy, buy some cards, build a deck, you know...do that stuff that magic players do.

As an additional prize that I started in July, the winner gets the honor of being represented in cards designed by me. So exciting!!! (sarcasm)

The cards

fireteam crazyeights
So fireteam told me that his name comes from a video game that I am not familiar with and that he is a fan of blue cards. So I figured that with a name like fireteam and blue, that I had a pretty good start at some red hate coming. The above is what I came up with. As I said, I am not that familiar with crazyeights, so I designed around the name. CMC = 8, toughness = 8, and damage = 8. And you might have to be kinda crazy to use this card, and the creature type is very crazy. There you have it, crazyeights.

Hope you enjoy the cards and the prizes!

Did you intend for KrazyEight card to kill itself? It's more or less strictly worse than Blasphemous Act MTG Card: Blasphemous Act .

I did intend for it to die unless you do something about it, which you can. That is why its crazy!

Woot! $50 is always nice. Guess I'll pick up 2 boxes of M13. I already purchase all my sealed product on there, so I have a running discount.

As squire1 said, I'm always looking for trades, so hit me up.

My binder is getting smaller and smaller though, as I'm constantly trading stuff I need for decks.

Thanks guys!

Fireteam (the card) is completely overpowered lol. It pretty much shuts red out of the game 100%. Couple that with blue's ability to change color words and that card can hose anything it comes across! I wish I had one lol.

You know what would be cool squire1 ? If you worked out some kind of deal where you could get those cards printed and mailed to the winners. I'd love to have one sitting next to my deck as a good luck charm assuming I ever win. =P

That indeed would be cool. And yes it hoses red but who plays red anyway

Only the cool kids are allowed to play red.

This is such a cool thing, I love it when a community supports it's users!
