Truth be told... I actually did end up buying the Storm Crow
s because I thought it would be funny.
To date, I am still the only one laughing.

BTW, make sure that you tag my name in your comment so that I can see your deck list. Otherwise, it won't show up on my feed. I will announce the winner in 10 days. Good luck!

Hahaha wow :P It was a pretty good buy, it's pretty broken. A buck for a playset? You got a steal.
And I don't know how to edit my comment sooo i'm just going to repost it
here's my submission, gnarlicide

Can't watch the video right now, but it looks like we're posting our budget decks? Well, here is my current standard deck. I think it makes the cut for just about any definition of budget.

Here is my budget deck. Its mostly what I use for casual play but as far as I can tell it works for legacy too.

Another Budget Deck of mine that I just noticed was extremely cheap to make so far as the average cost goes.
excuse the double post, just wanted to share this deck with the world too.

gnarlicide, forgot to tag you, also there's a guy who works at my LGS that has an "I'd tap that" shirt, it has a little tap symbol too, pretty sweet.

@gnarlicide: Pretty much all of my decks are budget builds, but this is by far the most popular one I have made:
Don't really need care about having the Thoughtseize though if I win, so you can give it to someone else. Nice video!

Araganor, thanks man. Thats pretty awesome of you. I figured I would give out a Thoughtseize
because, even though it is a reprint, it is a card that can be played in all formats and it is generally out of most budget players price range.
CW, Dude, I have seen that shirt online. I almost bought it. I never really thought about a video column title, until I started filming the first one, and I realized that I had not come up with a "show name". It kind of just slipped out when I was introducing myself and it just seemed right, like sort of saying "I approve". Lol, I am a special case...

CW, I should get the shirt, and rock it in a video. Lol. Maybe that will be for the MTG etiquette episode... just for shameless promotion for profit. Good one.

@gnarlicide What price do you consider budget? My entry would be:
If it is not budget enough the shocklands can be replaced by basics and guildgates.
December 3, 2013 9:57 a.m.
Not sure what happened, but the average price of my deck shot up quite a bit. I dropped the shocks to bring the price back down. Hopefully it still qualifies as budget.
December 3, 2013 10:10 a.m.
My deck has shocks as well, someone could obviously replace them with guild gates or normal lands to bring the price down.
December 3, 2013 10:16 a.m.
I think for budget at the moment, while not exactly cheap, but <=5$ cheap, the scrygates in the available colors make better replacements at a low price than the gates.

Budget is a relative term. For this challenge, I will say.... The most competitive deck for the lowest price. If that deck costs a user (granted if they BOUGHT every card in the list) no more than 100 dollars, I would consider that pretty budget.
When I came back into magic, after insist rad was released, I spent forty dollars. Combined with everything else I had on hand from acquiring from friends, I built a deck that was worth 220.
The point is, even 100 dollar deck can do some damage to a format... Look at infect, when it was standard. And since most cards were commons, players probably didn't pay anything!

Hey gnarlicide, I specialize in making budget decks, all of them are under 30$ and I've got 2 that do well in FNM in the standard format. Wreck with Rakdos(my first fnm with this deck, last friday, was 3-1) and Into the Aether.
My others do/did awesome in standard last year or in modern. The Risen Army is an awesome alternate zombie deck, which plays like how you might expect zombies to actually play, no lord zombies here! "The living are born small and weak. The dead rise ready to serve. The choice is obvious."
Little Red Riding Food is a super fun werewolf deck. "Tovolar, my master. Gather the howlpack, for the Hunter's Moon is nigh and Thraben's walls grow weak."
The Mean Gangrene is as it sounds, a mean infect deck. Surprise! You've been infected, take 6 counters turn 2. "Beg me for life, and I will fill you with the glory of Phyrexian perfection."
The last of my favorite budget decks is Quicksand , which plagues whatever you are best at. The harder you struggle, the harder it is to get out. "May you drink until you drown but never be sated."
Feel free to checkout the rest of my decks on my page greyfox92404

AM I TOO LATE TO ENTER SOMETHING?!
Yay, now I know how I can make decks from my allowance of picking coins off the ground!
And with those 4 Storm Crow s you bought, now you can make 4 copies of the EDH Storm Crow build- which is also a budget build! (Well, not mine, but that's because of the lands I use.)
Remade

Although since I won the last challenge thingie, I suppose I'm exempt from the prize. That's okay though. :)
