Wodar taking down another unbeaten team. Excellent.
GOING FOR GOLD GUYS. GOING FOR GOLD.
December 6, 2013 12:15 p.m.
It's not often that misplaying a land ended up being the difference between going 2-0 and 1-2 XD
Definitely the sign of a close match.
Good games Absin and Wodar.

I would love to be a part of this. How can I get involved?
December 7, 2013 12:39 p.m.
Deco_y lol
Skulldrey there's not much you can do right now but after born of the gods is released, KrazyCaley might start up another daily draft debate. He will post a thread inviting players to join. Just keep your eyes open for that thread! If I missed anyhthibg caley can fill in the details
December 7, 2013 3:18 p.m.
We won't have time to put one together before Born of the Gods. It would take too long. I think we're taking a break after THS.
December 8, 2013 2:48 a.m.
I hope nobody is too distraught by the lack of my angsty, anguished groans and moans about poor card draw, terrible plays, and inability to mise bombs.
December 8, 2013 4:47 a.m.
Deco_y, why wouldn't we have enough time? surely, we'll finish all the matches in 2 months
December 8, 2013 9:32 p.m.

The drafting and deckbuilding process takes about 40 days give or take. Then the matches are around another 6 weeks give or take. The process takes a long time Tempest.
December 8, 2013 9:37 p.m.
but we're already on round 2. after this, there's still 6 rounds. so, assuming each round takes a week, we'd finish this DDD with 2 weeks to spare. is that not enough time?

I don't know; I'm not on the admin side of this thing. I know there's a lot of managing for Caley. Besides the next big draft shift will be when the Theros cycle is complete and we draft one pack of each Theros/Born of the Gods/Journey into Nyx =)
December 8, 2013 10:42 p.m.
i wouldn't mind having all of T/O play against caley's friends though. that was fun and it brings the community into one whole after splitting it up for these DDDs

I'm with tempest on that. The split DDD format is great. I don't want to abandon it. But I would like to see the old format every now and then. There's more debate and therefore more learning going on.

@Tempest - A DDD run in this fashion takes about at least a week to set up, 40 days or so to draft, another week to prepare for matches, and a variable amount of time, usually just shy of two months, to do all the matches. That's a total of about three months, pushing four, and we have about five and a half playing rounds left in this one, meaning we'll probably finish at some point in January, especially given the holidays. We would not be able to do an intermediary DDD before Born of the Gods comes out, alas.
As for doing DDD in the old style, that was a terrible burden that I placed on my friends, who were glad that they weren't going to have their time presumed upon any further when we switched. Also, most of them can't or won't stream. I feel like we get better information here; we know the rationale behind EVERY pick, not just a raw draft list. Still, the old way did have its merits. I'll think about what we can do to capture the good stuff from the old method.
December 9, 2013 4:30 p.m.
we could have a draft with T/O against voluntary T/O individuals. that provides full rationale and only 7 members are excluded. that does provide other problems though... still, its an idea
December 9, 2013 8:18 p.m.
Might be interesting if instead of an observation group they are just the 8th member and mass vote on cards like before.
There's obviously room for cheating, but I'm not exactly sure what's the point of cheating in an optional learning exercise.
December 10, 2013 2:33 a.m.
Because some people place the act of winning above all, especially when it comes to magic.
December 10, 2013 2:46 a.m.
so sad when that happens. takes the fun out of the game

For those interested round 3 between myself and Deco_y is scheduled for tonight (Friday the 13th!) @ 10:30PM Central. Hopefully Caley will be able to stream it.
December 13, 2013 12:05 p.m.
Didn't Caley ask for no round 3 matches to be scheduled today?

@KrazyCaley- I would say more postmatch feedback from the deck pilots after they play would go a long way with this. In the traditional method with your friends, there would be a short summary of their thoughts on the match, after each match. This would be hard without giving too much information to opponents who have yet to play each other, but something more than just posting results and a summary at the end of it all would be nice.

Agreed Darkness. While I really like the team format the biggest downside is a lack of match comments (outside of the videos, which I don't have time to watch ALL the matches).

DeckBuilder345 - Where are you at?
Also, thanks for the comments, everyone! Remind me of your ideas after this one is done; I like a lot of these and don't want to forget about 'em!
December 14, 2013 10:32 p.m.
What happened with the Deckbuilder345 vs. Goody match last night?
December 15, 2013 8:19 a.m.
He didn't show up, so I'm trying to see if we can do it today. Haven't heard from him yet.
December 15, 2013 2:24 p.m.
Am I missing an article? It seems like a number of teams are scheduling/playing round 3 already but I don't see anything to track when it is happening. I can't actually access Absinthman's master sheet from work so my guess is that is what everyone is using.
If we're still officially on round 2 in order to stay on track for Goody vs DeckBuilder345, but getting extra matches done while we wait, I can understand. It just means I've missed out on the extra matches, which is a bummer.

Tonight at 9:30 central time will be the epic collision of the final two undefeated teams: Deco_y vs actiontech! Hopefully KrazyCaley will be streaming!

Me and deckbuilder have completed our match, he won 2-1

Hi guys, I've been away for a few days and when I looked at the sheet, I saw that it has been updated with recent results. Thanks for using it. However, there were also some garbage numbers added by unknown user that I had to get rid of. Please take care when editing the sheet and don't insert false values there.
I added the results of Goody's match against Deckbuilder which were missing and the scheduled matches that I know of right now.

Good luck to everyone except my opponent for this round!
