more constancy is a good thing, and since it seems we've gone the aggro route, my vote is for a 3rd Shambleshark

I agree a good 2 drop with combat tricks is a great option everytime where the forced adaptation will 2 for 1 us. 3rd Shambleshark here we go.

I think Shambleshark is the way to go here. Gotta love consistency in Limited, particularly draft.

Forced Adaptation is just to good when you can move counters around. Go for forced adaptation.

Shambleshark good to have 3 but we might not pick any more pack three. However it is great in most stages of the game as a trick and we keep getting passed awesome stuff. Seems like simic was a good idea. We also havbe a very nice white splash with two bits of mana fixing already and two fronline medics. So far, we seems pretty good entering pack 3.

Can there be a rule that when one of these gets played that the pilot gives our a pirate "Arrr!"?
February 26, 2013 7:49 a.m.
Forced Adaptation plays well in drafts, and with luck, it'll be great pairing with our Gyre Sage , but I agree that Shambleshark will be better, for more constancy.
My vote goes Shambleshark .
February 26, 2013 8:08 a.m.
For a draft, Forced Adaptation you attach it to Gyre Sage got mana accel, you attach it to Cloudfin Raptor you get a good flyer out for a bunch of damage. Shambleshark isn't bad, but we have three already, how much do we have to trigger it's evolve?
Forced Adaptation is my vote

Forced Adaptation as much as i like consistency with my creatures, I also like consistency with my enchantments. another Shambleshark would be nice, but I also think another forced adaptation is needed.

Shambleshark . This pack was a little too easy.

Shambleshark . Nothing else in here is even in the running right now.

boring old Shambleshark too bad we didn't go with the other creature two packs ago.
February 26, 2013 11:23 a.m.
I like having consistency, so Shambleshark gets my vote. I wouldn't mind if we picked up Forced Adaptation , though.
February 26, 2013 11:29 a.m.
Forced Adaptation good synergy with some of our cards and makes others brutal fast.
February 26, 2013 3:59 p.m.
Shambleshark , There is a good chance the adaptation will table as it seems too slow for gruul or naya. and we have seen enough simic presence in our own packs to chance no one else is playing simic.

This will be my first time voting for Shambleshark , but it is the best choice this time.

I think that there is always some automatic "don't ever pick an aura card because it will get 2 for 1ed" thinking going on. Well that's a maybe. More often than not, they don't get 2 for 1ed. And when they don't, the rewards can be very good. I think this is a very nice enchantment for us.
February 26, 2013 7:17 p.m.
And it is a nice enchantment for us. But we need some more creatures to solidify our board positions. Hopefully soon we'll start grabbing up an Adaptive Snapjaw or Leyline Phantom to round out our top end to keep evolving our little dudes. But Forced Adaptation will be something we start picking up as more packs keep coming around, and we still have one more round of packs to go. Stay positive!

I'd prefer a Master Biomancer if we're gonna see a mythic.

@vic - I definitely agree with you that auras get more hate than they deserve. But I will still nearly always take a creature over an aura, unless it's a bomb like Angelic Destiny or Rancor . It's not the 2-for-1 thing; auras are dead cards far more often than creatures are. There are times, and not actually uncommon times, when you could draw an aura and simply not be able to cast it because you just don't have any creatures. You will basically always be able to cast a creature spell when you topdeck into it, though.
I've seen plenty of games end because my opponent put all of his eggs into one enchanted basket. Especially now in Gatecrash - people learned that in Return to Ravnica, there wasn't enough good, cheap instant speed removal to punish aura strategies, and they became prevalent and sloppy with them. They haven't unlearned that for Gatecrash yet, where cheap instant speed removal is much more available, and people cast auras into clearly telegraphed kill spells all the time.
Forced Adaptation isn't a bad card in the right deck - our deck, particularly - and it'll fit well here. I actually like it for this deck (and no other), since it gives us the currency our cards like to spend. But we'll be able to pick one up later, no question.

Yeah, and we won't need more than one in the deck. it's not exactly a chase common. We'll see more.

As a side note, that Hellraiser Goblin would be scary as hell if our opponents got those two Frontline Medic s instead of us.

That's a good analysis, MagnorCriol. I like it. Tough pick here for me. The sharks seem to going low, too. And I do love the cc and size potential of the Forced Adaptation .
