Warning: The first paragraph is a bit of background on my personal life, I think it's important to understanding why having a budget is important, but if you want to skip to the Magic-Related stuff I understand, just don't read the first paragraph.
Jace, Vryn's Prodigy Flip is an expensive card. Paying these important thing called bills is kind-of difficult, and often that means as a Magic player and a College student, one must have some semblance of a budget. This is something I've been generally terrible about. I have often sacrificed other commodities in order to accommodate my Magic expenses. This was manageable when I had a reliable source of income often referred to as a job. However, I have made the transition to full-time student, sacrificing my job in order to focus on my studies. There have been very few times in my life where I have been without a job, so this was a very new experience for me. I had free-time and I could sleep in on the weekends and I didn't get home in the afternoon exhausted... it was like being in heaven. This also meant though, that I only had a static budget, a lump sum to draw upon while at
