MTG Combo: Aggravated Assault + Sword of Feast and Famine

The combo produces infinite combat steps (resulting in infinite damage), infinite tap/untap and infinite opponent discard.

  1. Have Sword of Feast and Famine equipped on any creature, preferably something that is evasive, Aggravated Assault, two red mana producing lands and three other lands on the battlefield.
  2. Deal combat damage to your opponent with the equipped creature.
  3. Sword of Feast and Famine procs and untaps all your lands.
  4. Activate Aggravated Assault's ability during your second main phase and untap all your creatures for another combat phase.
  5. Repeat steps 2-4.

Note: This combo will not generate infinite mana due to mana being cleared out during phase changes, ie: from combat phase to second main phase.

I get the whole solo swordsman theme, but Godo, Bandit Warlord is just too good to not include. Being able to fetch any equipment straight onto the battlefield on ETB, while having the opportunity to get an extra combat should you need it to finish the table. Also Embercleave could help you kill an opponent much quicker with multiple combats. Moraug, Fury of Akoum, World at War, Fury of the Horde and Aggravated Assault + Sword of Feast and Famine are solid ways to get those extra combat steps in without having to involve other creatures as well.

Narset deck based around taking a lot of turns or extra combat phases and voltroning up Narset to kill with commander damage. Some things I'm concerned about: not being able to get Narset out fast enough, or not getting the pieces I need to win. Taking a bunch of turns won't do anything if I can't win. For getting Narset out early I have Gilded Lotus, Sol Ring, all of the signets, Chromatic Lantern, and Darksteel Ingot. I feel like I may need more, but I am unsure. I am open to any advice on this!As for winning, my main win is taking a lot of turns, voltroning up Narset and going face to kill my opponent with commander damage. My voltron cards include Eldrazi Conscription, Spectra Ward, Steel of the Godhead, Elspeth, Knight-Errant with her second +1 ability, and Sword of Feast and Famine. I am considering putting in a few more, such as Spirit Mantle. As for extra turns and combat phases, I have Beacon of Tomorrows, Expropriate, Part the Waterveil, Relentless Assault, Seize the Day, Temporal Mastery, Temporal Trespass, Time Stretch, Time Warp, Walk the Aeons, Waves of Aggression, World at War, Savage Beating, and Aggravated Assault. There is one infinite combo in this deck, which is Aggravated Assault + Sword of Feast and Famine . I just keep on swinging, keep on getting Narset's triggers, and then hopefully continue voltroning her up!I am open to suggestions, however this deck is already at $400 and I would like to not go above that for now. So please keep recommendations at a somewhat budget range. Also if there are any recommendations for cheaper cards to replace expensive ones, I would love to hear them!

TheRedGoat My guess is, his deck is designed for his current meta and the rules they are using. Or maybe, he just does not want to disclose publicly the exact contents of his deck. I have my own deck of Archangel Avacyn  Flip and it was initialy based on Daedalus19876 AVACYN deck. However, on my playgroup, this deck gets murdered pretty much most of the time at turn 4 or 5 with my current meta (This is 1v1 btw) then a 40-50% ratio of winning against a multi. At 1v1, if you survive by turn 5, chances are, you win, then at multi, this does not have a "1-turn kill all trigger". Basically, you'll have to decide on killing only one. Either the one with the lowest life, or the one who is the biggest threat. In my meta, when i am on the aggressive play, ill be able to kill just 2-3 out of 5. When i go defensive stance, just chilling, somebody else will be able to set-up and go combo crazy win.

Due to this, I had to make some changes of my own and had to add some other wincons. Not to mention my playgroup are compliant with the current Multi/1v1 EDH rules and banlists (Though sometimes we go leviathan).

Anyways, I was actually one of those who suggested the Aggravated Assault but when he answered me, he referred to another card. Aggravated Assault + Sword of Feast and Famine has won me a lot of games especially when the equipped creature has natural evasion and/or my opponent/s is/are tapped out.

On other notes, i had removed the following cards:

The global discard draw spells for the reason that making my opponent draw seven cards at my expense does not appeal to me very much. Wheel of FortuneReforge the Soul

In order to compensate with the draw power of the deck, i had to add these two:m1. Nahiri, the Lithomancer - defense = 1/1 token, utility = get equipment from graveyard or hand to play is awesome with Sigarda's Aid possible wincon = an indestructible +6/+6 sword with double strike.Draw = 1/1 token + Skullclamp is three cards drawn per turn.

  1. Skullclamp - i pretty much attach this to any of my creatures in play that are considered high valued targets or auto-equip with Nahiri, the Lithomancer's +2 loyalty. Or +1 of Elspeth, Knight-Errant or Kjeldoran Outpost.

In order to survive against full superfast aggro-combo may it be elf, goblin, humans, merfolk, skeletons, slivers, wizards, zombies, etc. I needed to rely on low casting cost global creature damage such as:PyroclasmAnger of the GodsWrath of GodDay of Judgment - probably will replace this with Whipflare

then,Authority of the Consuls - need lifegain in order to survive 5 to 7 turns (to establish stability) and also delay the swarm of attacks. I replaced Mark of Asylum for this.

I also had to remove creatures that are high cost such as Monastery Mentor, Jor Kadeen, the Prevailer, Sublime Archangel, and Aurelia, the Warleader.

Then, for win cons these are my key cards:Tajic, Blade of the Legion + Worldslayer - This is much a nuke every swing.

Aggravated Assault + Sword of Feast and Famine - equipped by a creature with evasion or by tajic or with Basilisk Collar

Repercussion + any of the ff: Pyroclasm, Anger of the Gods, Archangel Avacyn  Flip's flip damage (this is vs. Aggro)

Dictate of the Twin Gods - goes in flash when enemy takes damage

Id probably do Gratuitous Violence over pandemonium but i see where youre coming from.

Also forgot about Savage Ventmaw, althought i do have Aggravated Assault + Sword of Feast and Famine . Will definite make room for him.

Oh man, kaalia would be brutal. But i feel i could get more utility of of Boros Reckoner combos, since i dont run a whole lot of angels/demons/dragons...Sneak Attack works just as well and doing the Blightsteel Colossus combo with it is absurd.

Why not run Aggravated Assault + Sword of Feast and Famine ?

Seems to janky for me. Yes EDH is the format of infinite possibilities but when your meta is as cutthroat as mine can be this cutesy stuff just never works

Aggravated Assault + Sword of Feast and Famine = infinite combat phases. Iroas, God of Victory is very helpful for this interaction as he prevents damage that would be dealt to your attacking creatures. Hellkite Charger can also be used in place of Aggravated Assault as well

For such commanders as Kaalia of the Vast, Narset, Enlightened Master, Arcum Dagsson etc. the strategy is pretty straightforward:

  1. Speed up with the most fast rocks Mana Crypt, Mana Vault, lands Ancient Tomb and dorks Generator Servant, Treasonous Ogre to put them on the battlefield as fast as possible (turn 2-3 pref.).
  2. Cuz such commanders cause a lot of hate right from the start of the game they need a lot protection for themselfs and thier combos with the most efficient spells and usualy they need haste (Lightning Greaves etc, the most efficient counterspells and other defensive/stax spells (Silence, Defense Grid, Darksteel Plate, Tangle Wire, Static Orb)
  3. To do everything for the implementation of winning conditions (Card advantage, tutors etc).

So, speed and mana:

Protection and haste:

Implementation:

First of all, I think you need to use all tutors in your colors (especialy Black). Depending on the situation, you will always have the right card on hand (especialy deadly with Kaalia).

Also, this one ends the game in Narset decks - Aggravated Assault + Sword of Feast and Famine , I think it fits here to.
