Chalice of the Void is in here specifically because of what I was losing against. Burn, Zooicide, and Hardened Scales decks were keeping me down, and they all heavily relied on 1-drop spells. Test matches since adding Chalice have drastically increased my results against them.

The reason I run Arbor Elf + Voyaging Satyr over Birds of Paradise + Noble Hierarch is because of the Fertile Grounds. I've found it gives me a more versatile mana base in the mid-game, and be more aggressive with getting the lock down while still being able to hold open mana for my removal/disruption spells. Though it might be worth subbing Noble Hierarch for Voyaging Satyr. I'll do some test runs and see how that goes.
