Honestly, Kriegel, Lich is too powerful of a filter card to cut. Really, only Glowspore Shaman is pitching cards and we want as many creatures in the graveyard as we can for our Ayara, First of Locthwain + Izoni, Thousand-Eyed bomb. Lich turns every card draw into a Glowspore Shaman and is on the curve right before we can cast Izoni. What that means is, for our turn 6 bomb, we can filter through 3-6 cards(if on turn 5 we sac something to Ayara or Priest). Again, not only is that 6 chances to find what you need, thats 4 cards being pitched that can potentially boost Izoni even further. With Cavalier of Thorns your pitching 4 sure, but you lose picking what 4 you pitch.

Cavalier of Thorns is also 3 green, which conflicts with Ayara, First of Locthwain . Unless your drawing a split land, there's no way to get them both off on curve. This means your ideal play line, now revolves around finding 1 of 7 lands, as well as the combo pieces. And we cut the best filtering card that would have made this easy anyways. Lich affords this deck too much consistency to drop it for something that doesnt even play nice on curve.

In the end losing life to save such a powerful filter card isnt that big of a deal. Ayara + Izoni combo nets us back such an absurd amount of life, losing 8, 12 even 16 isnt a big deal if the next turn we get it all back anyways. Plus they are wasting removal on the Lich, instead of Ayara or even Konrad

However, Command the Dreadhorde looks very interesting. 11 life, 8cmc to potentially win the game on a turn and can be grabbed by Mausoleum Secrets . I dont know how I missed this card to be honest, thank you.
