dalinius try adding powerful indestructible permanents, such as the God cycle from Theros. Replace the iffier win conditions (Progenitus) with indestructible win conditions (Darksteel Reactor, Blightsteel Colossus, Darksteel Colossus, maybe a Fist of Suns), add some recursion for your commander. This lets this deck act as a control deck, but instead of "counter everything, lockdown enchantments" you have more along the lines of "boardwipe everything that isn't tied down every turn".
Instant/sorcery focused control decks tend to have issues establishing a stable board, so your best plan is to make sure no one can establish one then drop a win condition.
You'll want to rework the entire mana base to have a few basics (one of each type works) and the full set of the dual non tap lands from legacy/vintage (ie Volcanic Island) and the shocklands. A couple fetches will help too. Maze's End is a valuable win condition, so throw in a Crucible of Worlds + Tectonic Edge combo into the mix.
Add in some tutors to make sure you have the right utility card for the right situation, and remove the lower quality charms.
