Hard to put a new spin on a classic.

Ancient Tomb would go a long way to turn 1 Torpor Orb. Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth can be useful to avoid spending too much life on them later in the game, also turning fetch lands and Wastelands into swamps.

I am guessing you don't own the Underground Seas and that is why they are on the Maybe list, they need to go in there. Otherwise Darkslick Shores are better than Watery Grave for a format where you are aiming to win in 5 turns or less.

You will need to look at the meta and build a sideboard if this deck is to be played. It could be fun running Helm of Obedience + Leyline of the Void as a surprise combo, but I am out of touch with the meta and that is just something I would do.

Hope you have fun with the deck!

I see. That certainly adds a lot of difficulty to the game. Have you considered using the Helm of Obedience + Leyline of the Void combo? It’s the only thing I can think of that can kill everyone on the same turn while staying within your group’s “once per player, per turn” rule.

Oh, and just in case the stax route feels like a direction you’d consider exploring, i’d like to shamelessly recommend my list - Aminatou: Nihilistic Tendencies (Stax).

I'm working on getting Eater of the Dead, but it's hard to find. As for Leyline of the Void, it's situational for my deck, because It makes cards with similar abilities as Consuming Aberration unable to grow in power. If I were to run Leyline of the Void, I'd most likely run Helm of Obedience to combo and make an infinite. Helm of Obedience + Leyline of the Void
