Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but having Riku listed as one of your creatures means your deck has 2 copies of it, leaving you one extra slot for a card.

As a Niv-Mizzet player, Curiosity + Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind /Keen Sense + Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind is best in 1v1, like you said. In multiplayer however, you can draw as many cards as you want (it's a "may" effect, after all), which should get whatever combo you want from your deck to kill off everyone else.
