Description

AustrianErb's ** 3-2-1-Draft**

"The Universe of magic is so large and expAnsive, there are so many cards. Far too often in Cubes it's easy to fall into the same old over and over and over.

We created this cube to expand that universe and show people cards that they haven't had the chance to play with."

It is a personal Tier 2, midrangy, multicolor focused, no proxy, unpowered, low combo , normal draft or brawl possible cube.
A deck has a minimum of 59 Cards plus 1 Commander.

More than 70 Commanders are inside the cube.
Excellent balanced Cube, no endless combos, nothing overpowered. Strict number of mass removals and a mostly mid range mana curve throughout the colors.

Cube size: 450+ every second card is a creature, main win con is combat damage
good for 2-8 players, ideal for 4-5

multiplayer Brawl table with EDH rules and feeling.
You can also draft normally and play a 1vs1 tournament.

Playtested and approved.

Depending on how many people you are and how many cards you got in your cube, take all cards and split them to around 20 cards per booster pack.
Every Person gets 4 booster packs.

Then you draft 3 cards as the first pick, then you take 2 then 10x 1 that makes a total pick of 15 cards per booster pack and a draft pool of 60 cards per person.

This way you get a much larger window of choices (you can make your cube larger and go through the whole thing in one draft) and you get by picking 3 on the first pick more exact cards for your synergy. The rest of the cards after 15 choices have been made go back into the cube exile.

You save a lot of time with this method!

Strong synergies with a lot of artifacts and enchantments that can be recurred from the grave or interact with the characters. Therefore you will not find a Dance of the Mance and such spells, wich are overpowered in this case.

Please ignore the first pick recommendation column on the right side.

Subsynergies after Artifacts and Enchantments are landfall, recursion, flash, flicker, cheat, deathtouch tricks and control.

It's up to every player to find out new combinations and show their personal ideas. To realize this we tried to avoid discard, stax and other nasty spells.

There is at least one Mono Colored Commander of every color, there are 2-4 Commanders of every color pair and 1-3 of all three-color combinations.

4 Color:
Atraxa, Saskia, Breya, Omnath or Yidris (the 4-color Commanders) are not ** (yet) included, and only

three 5-color and one** colorless Commanders

Black is very strong whereas Mono Blue can never be as strong as other mono colors. Mono colored Decks built from this cube are possible, but can never perform as strong as multicolored ones.

Goal of the Cube is to be flexible, save time for the host and players and have a wider pool of cards to select from.

November 2020 there will be a new Commander Set and a whole bunch of mono colored PARTNER COMMANDERS will be released, drafted and hopefully added to our cube. This way you never need to seperate or sort anything before the draft, just shuffle and make for every person 4 packs with at least 15 cards in every pack.
During the draft you can stick to your color combination and even add another color and Commander with a later pack.

As a player you stay flexible during draft and explore new tricks for yourself since you are combining new color combination mechanics.

Adding those Partner Commanders will keep the Cube interesting over longer time!

In this Tier 2 Cube everything is designed to come up with a very synergistic version of archetypes. Players can discover and build around custom environments and make use of strong color combinations and play fun stuff since interruptions are not that easy accessable like in higher Tier Cubes.

Thanks to many friends, TCU Shop in Graz and several youtube channels we could finish this project. Check out some of these fantastic channels that help you draft and build cubes:

Cube for Two, also offers Cube Draft Styles for 2 People

Cultic Cube, they also process draft data from MTG online

After playtesting, we found out that green is a very liked color and could get some more support. What do you think about reducing red and white to squeeze in more green spells?
