Description

This is my 1st cube, so any input would be helpful. This is based on my immediate card collection and I'm really trying to keep all cards under $10. I recently started playing Magic again (around the launch of Origins) so, most of the cards you will see are from the frontier format.

You'll notice I didn't include a ton of rares and mythic rares. That's because I want this cube to replicate a draft experience you would find with a new MTG set release. I wanted there to be balance between the common, uncommon, and the rare spots.

The draft archetypes are as follows. The tri-color options consist of Mardu Aggo/Tokens, Sultai Delver/Reanimate, Jeski Prowess/Flyers, Temur Ramp/Beatdown, Abzan Counters/Value. The bi-color types are as follows. R/U Spells, U/G Ramp/Emerge, W/B Aristocrats, R/W Aggro, G/B Re-animator/Delirium. I put a lot of though into the archetypes. Each tri-color deck has two archetypes that fit the colors. This will make it easier to move into a third color, if you hit a patch of nice cards/bomb.

I really enjoyed drafting the Tarkir block and decided to make that my bases for this cube. I love the tribe colors and want to make tri-color decks an option. Tarkir is only the base of this cube, so I wanted to make sure I didn't use too many cards from the set. We decided to go with the tribe lands, the tribe leaders, and the charms.

The rest of the cube will be composed of solid cards throughout the many sets of Magic. A "Super Tarkir" cube, if you will. A good example of the kinda cards we want would be, Lingering Souls. It's not from this block, it's an excellent limited card, and it fits a Mardu tokens or B/W Aristocrats deck rather nicely.

Again, this is my first ever cube. I'm going to make changes as I go to improve game play & synergy. Fell free to leave some feedback, as i'd love some pointers. Cheers.
