Description

my cube started with the 540 most interesting cards in my collection in may 2012, and has grown to be a 720 card cube. planeswalkers are not allowed because i think they make magic less fun.

the main goal is for the cube to be fun to draft. i want people to be able to find that blistering mono-red deck, that pain to play against esper control deck, and find as many ridiculous interactions as possible along the spectrum.

building it is forever a work in progress as i cut cards that are weaker or not used by my drafters, and continue to trade for foils, promos or stronger options.

cards are doublesleeved in KMC perfect fits and brown dragon shields. i'm slowly trying to acquire 60 foil lands of each color all with different art. i gutted an old typewriter case, built rows and lined the whole thing in felt for storage. Plenty of room for the 720 cube, 300 lands, and 2 extra bins for extra sleeves, dice, edh decks. even though it's getting a bit heavy, i like the classy look and having a handle and a clasp to make transport easier and safer.

i'd recommend cube building/drafting to anyone who loves limited, enjoys drafting for free (after initial acquisition costs), and/or has a collection of fun cards that they don't want to constantly trade/build edh decks out of/or let them sit unplayed on the shelf.

here is a link to the cube on cubetutor.com, where you can draft, see blog posts of why i have added or cut certain cards, and see analysis on colors, mana curves, draft picks, and pretty much any other data you could want. It's a great tool and highly recommended for all cube builders.
