Its hard to play this draft competitively, its merely a fun time. Well, in theory...
Each card is a creature with an enter the battlefield effect. What's spicy in this draft is when said non-token creatures enters into play.
Here are the conditions:
If you control <2 non-token creatures:
(includes creature entering)
nothing, like normal.
If you control 2-3 non-token creatures:
(includes creature entering)
Flip a coin. If you win, the creature's enter the battlefield effect(s) triggers an additional time.
If you control 4-5 non-token creatures:
(includes creature entering)
Whenever a creature enters the battlefield under your control, it's 'enter the battlefield effect' triggers an additional time
If you control 6+ non-token creatures:
(includes creature entering)
Whenever a non-token creature enters the battlefield under your control, Flip a coin until you lose. The creature's enter the battlefield effect triggers an additional time for each coin flip you did
(Optional Rule)
In addition, At the beginning of each game, Each player starts with a land token with "Tap // Add 1 mana of any color to your mana pool" and hexproof
Most, if not all, ETB effects/triggers occur past one mana. In addition, it might feel too restrictive and hard to play a lot of the spells you want to in this draft without this rule. So it can be fun to include this optional rule, but some might find the consistency of this land to be problematic--which is understandable as its consistency automatically favors multi-colored play and it messes up the typical limited mana base. That being said, be the expert to your preferences
Honestly, it doesn't matter to me how you want your draft-- as long as you have fun :)
Also, if you are wondering about the uncommon--but still valid--270 card draft cube, I looked at every ETB effect creature in magic's history (no joke). After eliminating alternate versions of the same triggers, replacement effects, conditional effects, costed effects (like discarding a card when entering), negative effects, effects that don't do anything to the game state/ useless, and so on--I was stuck with a much smaller card pool. I still removed cards that wouldn't be that fun/good in this draft, and then added a better ratio until I got up to 270. I tried to even balance the colors, but this isn't exactly completely realistic as some colors natural favored this theme way more than others. Like blue vs white...
Anyway, enjoy! Hopefully this can be something that you might find fun :)
