Description

My love letter to Ixalan and Rivals rotating out of standard. Features cards from these two sets as well as a few from Explorers of Ixalan, with no duplicates. Supports up to eight players with three packs of fifteen cards each. Pack ratio is 7 commons, 4 uncommons, 3 rares, 1 mythic rare per pack.

My general philosophy behind card choices was high rarity to include all the iconic cards from these sets, including all the flip cards, and a decent balance of tribal support, removal, and powerful threats at every point on the mana curve. Basically most color combinations and playstyles can be drafted with this cube, and while most players will likely be encouraged to build around whatever mythic rare they first open, many mythic rares are just generally good enough that this shouldn't be a problem. Common creatures tend toward a mix of simple Vigilance 2/2s and interesting combat tricks and bounce effects. In play, I hope the card pool offers each player and deck interesting and interactive play patterns while also enjoying all the best and iconic cards from my favorite plane.
