Work in Progress!
This is my first cube so I hope it makes sense!
Mind Versus Matter is all about testing the age-old question: Do you win with the most clever tricks, or the biggest baddies?
The cards I've chosen for this cube are chosen for one of two characteristics: they're either great on their own, or mediocre on their own but can become immensely powerful with a little bit of ingenuity and smart drafting.
It's also just a collection of cards I love and that I think would be great in a draft- cards that aren't too strong, aren't too weak, but have that cool factor that gives you the nostalgia from when you started playing magic.
Archetypes: chosen to require the most thought to use effectively.
-Spell Slingin' (Mostly UR) +W
-Tap and Untap Shenanigans (Mostly UG)
-(Artifacts) or no?
-Enter the Battlefield (Mostly WUG)
-Discard (Mostly RB)
-Sacrifice?
I'm also trying to pick cards whose effect are truest to their color philosophy- in my opinion. For example, White is going to be mostly about protection and healing, Black is going to be about high risk for high reward (also being a dick), Green is going to be about ramping and value creatures, Blue is going to be about drawing/scrying and mind games, and Red is aggression and destruction.
