This is a guild-focused cube toolkit that includes cards from the Return to Ravnica block. Cards are divided between the guilds symmetrically. As a toolkit, there are several methods for creating the cube to draft.
This is a weighted cube: the included commons are each included twice (note, not all commons from the block are included). Uncommons, rares, and mythics are included once.
The Cards
Guild Cards
This cube includes 3 dual-colored commons (2 copies each, 60 cards total), 6 uncommons (60 cards), 5 rares (50 cards), and 2 mythics (20 cards) per guild [each total here excludes hybrid].
Hybrid Cards
The cube includes each hybrid card: two copies of each common (20 cards), one of each uncommon (10 cards), and one of each rare (10 cards).
Mono-colored Cards
The cube includes: two copies each of fifteen commons (30 cards total), plus seventeen uncommons, four rares, and one mythic per color.
Artifacts
At common, the cube includes two copies of each of the following: each guild’s cluestone (20 total cards), two artifact creatures (4 cards), two equipment (4 cards), and one other artifact (2 cards).
At higher rarities, there are 2 uncommon artifacts, 1 uncommon equipment, 1 uncommon artifact creature, 1 rare equipment, and 3 rare artifacts (4 uncommon, 4 rare).
Lands
At common, the cube includes two copies of each guildgate (20 cards total) and eight copies of transguild promenade (usually 2 copies are added to the cube or one is given to each player).
One uncommon and one mythic utility land are included.
Creating the Cube
Option: Select Guilds
Select five guilds to play with. I recommend playing with the 5 Return to Ravnica or the 5 Gatecrash guilds on your first couple drafts.
Cube Contents
Locate the pile of 260 commons. This is the base cube. Next, for each guild you are playing with, add the six uncommons to the cube. Then, shuffle all the rares and mythics for those guilds into a single pile. Add three cards per guild from this pile to the cube. In total, the cube will now contain 260 + (6 uncommons * 5) + (3 rare/mythics * 5) = 260 + 45 cards. To this, add five colorless cards, bringing the total up to 310. Fill the remainder with 9 cards per mono color and 5 hybrids. After draft, give each player a transguild promenade.
Option: Remix Draft
A bolder, more involved method of cube prep, you can color fade from the first to last pack.
Adding Guild Cards
Start by separating the guild cards (all dual-colored cards, except the hybrids). Shuffle by rarity, then shuffle half the mythics into the rares pile. In pack 1, include 1 guild rare/mythic, 3 guild uncommons, and 3 guild commons. In pack 2, include 2 guild uncommons and 2 guild commons. In pack 3, include 1 guild uncommon and 1 guild common.
Adding Other Cards
Shuffle 12 guild commons and all remaining commons together; fill remaining commons slots (total of 11 commons per pack). Shuffle 22 guild uncommons and half of all other uncommons; fill remaining uncommon slots (total of 3 uncommons per pack). Shuffle 10 guild mythics and 6 other mythics; shuffle 4 of these guild mythics, 5 rares per color, the hybrid rares, and 2 artifact rares to make the assorted rares pile. For pack 2, randomize 15 guild rares and 14 assorted rares; deal 1 per pack. For pack 3, randomize 7 guild rares and 12 assorted rares; deal 1 per pack.
