Description

My goal in this cube is to get together a lot of fun, unique cards that, for whatever reason, haven't seen much play. Here are what I'm trying to go for:

Unique. Very interesting effects that were hyped but that never really were able to thrive. Cool cards that everybody forgot about. What I don't want: Too good. Played a lot, strong, defined. Too bad. Worse versions of other cards, only unplayed because they are simply that bad. Simple. Not very depthy, straightforward effects. Too specific. Effects that are only useful with a particular mechanic, or an uncommon creature type, etc.

I'm adding just about every card that's anywhere near this description, so feel free to help me cut it down.

I've been removing anything over 2 bucks save a few. 80% of the cards in this cube are 25-35 cents. I'll proxy the demonic pacts if they haven't gone down by the time I want to build this cube.

Also help me I'm thinking about putting in the whole parallax cycle because they're all so cool but I have way too many enchantments already.

Ok so I added them, but the black one seems bad so I'll probably remove it. Also, I need to cut a rakdos 5 drop: Master of Cruelties or Underworld Cerberus. I'm leaning toward cutting the master because it's an unfun card and the cerberus is fun and still good. Agree?

I do realize that both are high power level for my cube but that's ok because tymaret is shit.

kk so I need to take out some cards and I should start with blue for obvious reasons. I'll take out more as I try to carve out archetypes and a mana curve, but for now I'm just trying to weed out the bad stuff.

Arbiter of the IdealMostly a bomb, not a very interesting effect

Call to the KindredFun in tribal decks, but overall not all that cool

Erratic MutationStraightforward, but excessively random

Tunnel VisionIt certainly fits the weird requirement, but is it good enough? Would it be used in mill if that becomes a thing or just as a tutor?

Training GroundsIm not sure it would be useful enough

Telemin PerformanceIt might be too random and not interesting enough

River KelpieToo specific? Its body is decent but not over the top which is why Im hesitating taking it out.

Misthollow GriffinIs there enough synergy there or is it just a 3/3 flying for 4? Im not sure.

Mirror-Mad PhantasmSeems like playing only 1 copy might mill your deck too fast, but Idunno. Its fun otherwise.

Next up, black. Black is probably my best color so far, and it feels super flavorful and dark and chaotic. It still has some bad apples, though.

Phylactery LichGood lord, monoblack taxes is going to be insane. Its 3 black mana, but does it kill the fun too much?

Qarsi High PriestIs it good enough? Its a 1 drop, which I like

Repay in KindToo simple? I think its a fun finisher in a mono-black suicide deck personally
