The Izzet Initiative
Ever since I discovered that you could play more than one color in Magic: the Gathering, I've found myself drawn to the combination Red and Blue. Colloquially referred to as "Izzet." When I discovered just who the Izzet were and how they functioned I realized why that was. The Izzet League on Ravnica is a place I would love to call home. The manic creation and desperate search for understanding all appeals to me on a primal level. More than that, though I learned what Red and Blue meant outside of Ravnica. The color combination is near and dear to my heart and I've decided to undertake a relatively daunting task: The Izzet Initiative.
The Izzet Initiative is an attempt to create a commander deck revolving around every single commander that is Red and Blue. Despite how the color functions, each of these decks must feel unique. They must tell their own story. And they must be able to win. This is an opportunity to try something strange and off the wall. This is a task that can technically not be completed as long as Wizards of the Coast continues making cards. At the time of writing, however, I only have 15 such legendaries to work with. (That's 14 decks because Kraum and Ludevic get to share one.)
I am beyond excited for this undertaking and I hope to chronicle my journey here.
