I'd run the 9 fetches if I had them, but to start I was going with the 3 in these colors (still no Arid Mesa, but it's a Zendikar fetch so it's not wallet friendly).
I think I ran Steel Hellkite at one point. But without haste you have to wait a turn to use it implying your opponent doesn't have a way to remove it or flyers. It's also as easy to remove as Wurmcoil.
Wurmcoil will most likely be replaced with Dragonlord Dromoka. Same CMC, and it's basically a pseudo-Grand Abolisher. And if I have to hardcast it, it can't be countered.

Dromoka seems like a pretty good role player, and a 5/7 flying lifelink for 6 is pretty efficient.

+1 btw. It's nice to see Mayael decks that are a bit more tuned.

This is an impressive deck! I have a bunch of these cards and wouldn't mind putting something together along these lines. Just have to get a scroll rack and top...
+1

I'm just gonna +1 for the sweet name. I love that game, as well as this deck. Well done.

+1 for good deck. About your maybeboard - you want to play Greater Good and Sylvan Library, cause there's nothing more badass than card advantage in green

Ellusion: they're already in the deck if you looked. The maybeboard versions are the ones I want.

Damn powerful deck. i love it. +1 from me for sure. tested it against a Glissa deck im currently building meant to excel at removing creatures and it gave me a new standard to aim for.
playing against it is an uphill battle

Why not use cards like Where Ancients Tread or Mayael's Aria, they have worked well for me in the past. I really like Where Ancients Tread because its quite literally drop a fatty and punch your opponent in the face or sit on their creatures. Mayael's Aria on the other hand makes your creatures bigger, Gains you life, and has the possibility of winning you the game.

Where Ancients Tread has the same problem Warstorm Surge does when I was playing it: I'd rather do something else with that mass of mana. Everytime I drew it I didn't want to play it.
Mayael's Aria was in here at one point, and I won one game with it thanks to a monstrous Colossus of Akros that people failed to recognize. But most of the time it either showed up late game or early and sniped by spot removal.

Nahiri, the Harbinger doesn't feel like she does enough for the deck. Her ult is pretty much the only thing you want and that feels underwhelming when you're not getting Emrakul, the Aeons Torn. To further the poor fit of this walker in the deck, you actually go negative from her looting. It looks as though you just added her, but from my perspective it's a questionable include.
I agree with your initial post in that Godsire is underwhelming. If you still want more cuts I would go so far as to say Dragonlord Atarka is pretty underwhelming as well. 5 damage during ETB really isn't that potent for her CMC.
As for additions I think Craterhoof Behemoth, Atarka, World Render (as double strike is not an effect to be underestimated), Hellkite Charger, and Scourge of the Throne are all worth considering.
I know Krosan Grip is usually the go to option for artifact/enchantment removal, but your deck looks like it is playing at a higher level and for that reason I suggest Unravel the Aether. It gives variety in how you remove artifacts/enchantments and allows you to not fold immediately to generals such as Arcum Dagsson.

Solid points, here's my thoughts:
"Just added" for Nahiri - I don't know if 6 months counts as just added, but I haven't drawn into her/played her enough to determine her value. If she does prove to be underwhelming, I'd probably replace her with another planeswalker of the same CMC like Sarkhan Vol or Ajani Vengeant (more towards Sarkhan).
Creature suggestions - my older builds had both Hellkite Charger, who was too mana intensive to be useful, and Craterhoof Behemoth, which I removed cause I didn't need it. I see it as a win-more card; sure, I can buff all my large creatures, but it was mainly used as a source of trample as I never had too many creatures on board. Also I don't feel like trying to pick up another one :p. Atarka, World Render: I don't know how I feel about you. Yes, double strike is nasty, especially paired with Xenagos, God of Revels, but it fits my bill of "vanilla fatty": to be useful it has to attack. Scourge of the Throne I like. I haven't thought about testing it before but it would go in over Dragonlord Atarka.
Unravel the Aether and Krosan Grip both have their strong points. The former is shuffle, obviously dodging indestructible, and 1 mana less, while the latter is essentially uncounterable. Assuming I don't come across the promo Krosan Grip any time soon, that will probably be it's replacement.

@brokendwarf: I completely understand all the points you made about the creatures, however you did not mention Avenger of Zendikar. Also, it may not be my place to say this, but all the planeswalkers you mentioned seem like they all have incredibly underwhelming effects for the deck as well. I honestly think that spot is better used for another big creature.
I didn't bother to read the date, I just looked at the most recent update (derp).

@ brokendwarf: If you wanted another planeswalker for the deck, I think Domri Rade, Garruk, Caller of Beasts, or Freyalise, Llanowar's Fury are all significantly more impactful than the ones you mentioned.

If you're looking to make room for Combustible Gearhulk I'd agree with theSwagSculptor, Nahiri is a bit underwhelming. Her minus ability could be useful, but it has the potential to not have any targets. Her plus ability is decent, but made better if you have a way to get stuff back, which i don't see many of.
The ultimate is useful, but not likely to happen and not nearly as game breaking as it is in modern.

JaceTheSwagSculptor: didn't see the Avenger of Zendikar post until after I posted the explanations. It's one of those cards I just never picked up to test and it hasn't concerned me too much.
Domri Rade is in the current decklist, also a nice Sun Titan target. I like Garruk for his put something into play for free, but his plus ability is what concerns me. I don't want the fat creatures in hand, I need them in the deck. I only run 6 utility/mana dork creatures that don't qualify for Mayael's ability, and the chances I'll see them in his plus are minimal. On the topic of Garruk, what about Garruk Wildspeaker as an addition?

It seems pretty obvious that this deck has been tweaked and tested quite a bit. It seems pretty tight. That being said I do agree that Wurmcoil Engine and Yavimaya Elder are pretty lackluster. Personally I replaced Yavimaya Elder with Azusa, Lost but Seeking initially, but I run 9 fetches, Life from the Loam and Crucible of Worlds.
I've also had a lot of success with what Courser of Kruphix brings to the table. Top deck manipulation is something you don't have a shortage of, so it's ability to see what's on should be strong. Again, it's better when you have access to fetches (and you do run a couple) and recursion.
I like utility creatures. Fatties that do more than just turn sideways make me happy. You happen to have a lot of them, so I don't have many choices for you other than what you've already suggested. Wurmcoil doesn't fit here though, so I'd look to replace it with something. What are your thoughts on Steel Hellkite?
