This deck is designed to control lands your opponent plays, and cards in hand, it depends on what you get in your opening hand, as to how you should proceed. If you have more (and lower cost "land D" in your opening hand), start with that, if you have more discard, then start with that... if you are on the draw, land D is what you should be doing FIRST.. and keep it going as long as you can, after you have established control by having at least 3-4 more lands then your opponent, then start making your opponent discard, then either put out only 1 threat, and make them worry about that.as you can see in the list, you have enough sweep to keep fast decks at bay, and enough draw (or search) to find what you need... against countermagic, you need to "feed" them a card, then play what you really want to resolve..to finish the game, you need to wait until at least turn 5-6 to put only ONE threat on the field, your creatures are limited, so a board sweep for 2 or more creatures is gonna hurt, so i added consume spirit, to finish off your opponent.. as for the sideboard...more sweep, and some control aspects, so you can slow down certain decks.. combo decks, and heavy countermagic decks, can give you some trouble, so, what i do when i know im playing against one of them, land D the islands, yea, you do have to deal with FOW/DAZE.. but those are the only two that will be a real threat.Leyline of Sanctity is trouble, so is thalia, that is why more sweep is in the sideboard
extripate
and Innocent Blood and Nevinyrral's Disk are for "sneak and show" emmie and the disk is a must to wipe their entire board when they "show and tell"
against delver: i want to put in Echoing Decay but ratchet bombs are almost as good, you can sweep their tokens and their delvers after its flipped, just by dropping it on the battlefield... for me, what i try to do is as much discard as possible, because they burn out of their hand quick, and then try to dig for more stuff (Brainstorm, Ponder, ect) and if you have a choice of land to destroy, stay with one land type!
against tendrils: this deck can crush you fast, so the
Misinformation
are the best because you can screw up what they are looking for, and as soon as they use the Lion's Eye Diamond or a dark rit, EXTRIPATE IT!! as for what to do against them early game... ive noticed that if you can make them discard early, (like turn 1-3) they stall out fast..against Leyline of Sanctity: Nevinyrral's Disk is your best bet, and so are ratchet bombs....against zoo: board sweep is where its at...disks and bombs and Damnation.against loam: Extirpate,
Misinformation
against any heavy counter magic deck: Boseiju, Who Shelters All, and just as much discard as you can...and destroy BLUE lands against goblins: again, board sweep, and discardIn the legacy format, there are ALOT of non basic lands, so if you are on game 2, destroy a non basic, then Extirpate as soon as you can... ive done this on turn 1 (swamp, Dark Ritual, Sinkhole, Extirpate)
