Reitensen that sound fun, & I may play with that idea sometime, but I want to how it goes like this for a while.
jvla24 I see your point. Changes made.

Very nice. +1. I particularly like Battlefield Thaumaturge to cut back the cost of descent. Clever.
Only suggestion I have is to cut out a few lands and use those slots to max out your Dragon Tempest and Descent of the Dragons. Your mana curve is so low that you really only need 3 land on the battlefield to be effective. It plays out feeling like a speed red deck, then BOOM... DRAGONS! Most sligh decks usually run around 20 land. I'd say to stick with a few more than that, just because descent is so crucial and thaumaturge is so squishy.
Maybe swap Dig Through Time for Treasure Cruise - then you'd have nothing requiring UU to cast, and the fetches and goblin summons will still do a decent enough job of getting you delve fuel.

Vasagi I've thought about dropping 1 or 2 land. And i may yet - but i definitely like reliably hitting 4 mana to cast Battlefield Thaumaturge & Descent of the Dragons in the same turn to help mitigate the wizard's squishiness. I will try to playtest some of your thoughts.
Popalofiti tokens + Descent of the Dragons + Dragon Tempest = direct damage and hasty dragon swarm.

Oh, kinda says that in the description, doesn't it...

Just to say Descent of the Dragons doesnt deal 25 damange. It only deals 1 damage per dragon as there are non on the battle field and they all come in at once. They aren't separate instances so there isn't a curve like 1 damage then 2 then 3 and add it up. They all enter at the same time I'm afraid. So targeting 4 creatures with it with no dragons on the battlefield would only do 4 damage.
April 16, 2015 10:48 a.m.
They all enter at the same time - so each trigger to Dragon Tempest will count all the dragons on the battlefield when they resolve. 4 dragons entering at once via Descent of the Dragons creates 4 triggers that do 4 damage each = 16 total damage, split into 4s that you can point at different creatures and/or players.5 dragons entering at once will create 5 triggers for 5 damage each. 25 total damage.

Dragon Tempest states "Whenever a Dragon enters the battlefield under your control, it deals X damage to target creature or player, where X is the number of Dragons you control."
So, if Dragon Tempest is on the field and Descent of the Dragons is cast on 4 targets, the following happens:
Descent of the Dragons resolves. The 4 target creatures are destroyed, 4 dragons come into play. They are now on the field.
Each entrance triggers Dragon Tempest (whenever A dragon enters . . . Not when one or more dragons enter).
Then each trigger checks for number of dragons, which is now 4.
Each dragon deals 4 damage.

Thanks because people have been questioning the way I was playing it which is each dragon would deal 4 and said they would each deal 1 damage. I will shout at them some more now :p

Yup. Works in the same fashion as Scapeshift combo. All the dragons enter at the same time, check the field, see each other, do an amount equal to the number of dragons in play. Ask any judge. They'll tell you the same.

I know I still have work to do, but I'm excited to have my first #1 finish!
The sideboard, & sideboard tech are my biggest insecurities.

Why do you have the fetch lands in there? They can only grab one color you actually have in your deck, so it seems to me it'd be easier, cheaper, and more life efficient to just have the basic lands instead. Or some other helpful land.

They thin the deck, getting more lands oit of the deck, leaving a higher percentage of good draws behind.
Delve fuel for Dig Through Time.
Both fairly minor effects but noticeable.

Also Taigam's Scheming is great to filter draws and feed Dig Through Time!

I actually took Taigam's Scheming out in favor of Anticipate. If I put it back in, I'd almost have to run Treasure Cruise and suddenly the deck would be all combo, no aggro. That thought does give me some ideas though . . .

Any budget land alternatives? I can't afford $96 landbase... :(

You should be able to do without the fetch lands fairly easily. Tou might replace 1x Anticipate for Taigam's Scheming to make up lost delve fuel for Dig Through Time but otherwise replacing them with basics is fine. And I've been actually running only 3x Shivan Reef because my lgs has been out. That should help the budget.

I wouldn't remove the one drops completely especially when Monastery Swiftspear being one of the best one drops of all time. That card will go nuts in this deck.
