"We have wormsign the likes of which even God has never seen!" ~ Stilgar, Naib of Sietch TabrThis is a really fun deck!
It is based on
The Exponential Wurm Of Life by
Headers13, so if you want to play this build you need to go look at his list - it's the definitive primer. I'll wait - go there and then come back here. :)
So what is different? Not much. For what this deck does, I think the list is close to perfect. It is slammed with so much (a lot of "threes" in there) - but it works. I have cut the deck down to 61 cards from the original 63.
Here are the Cliff's Notes for those who don't want to click a link.1:

Heroes' Reunion
+
Voracious Wurm
3: Target the wurm with
Predator's Rapport. Play another
Voracious Wurm
.
Rinse and repeat.
My Changes
None of these changes from the original may work at all. If they don't I can always replicate the original build, but I want to see if I can trim some fat from the deck without losing effectiveness.
Fleecemane Lion
- I am running a full playset of these over the other lists 3 copies. I am a bit paranoid over not having any board state in the early game. While you can lose a lot of life without much worry, I'd prefer a couple of speedbumps early on, and I think a turn two 3/3 does the job. Late game these are great when you have a
Sunbond
on them and even better if they go Monsterous.
Alpha Authority - I am running one less here for space reasons. It is a great card, but it can be a dead draw if the opponent's game isn't creature kill or creature exile heavy. Of all the cards, this is the one I think I could do with out. I can side in the third one and
Sheltering Word
s to supplement.
Unflinching Courage - I am running one more of these, but actually running a
net of two less than the original build since I moved both of the
Behemoth Sledges to the sideboard.
The Mana Base
So to be fair, I didn't buy this mana base for this deck. I play a lot of Selesnya, so over time I have collected a bunch of G/W duals. I'm sure this is overkill for a fun deck, but since I have them I am going to run them. Better than sitting in a box, right?
Temple Garden (4) - These count as a plains and a forest. My favorite of the dual lands, shocks are great for this deck as after the engine gets going, that two life is a no-brainer.
Windswept Heath (4) - I have 4 of these. I pulled a playset of them from boosters. Sometimes you get lucky. They can target the
Forest
,
Plains
or
Temple Gardens so there are plenty of targets and they thin your decks as you play.
Temple of Plenty (3) - The scry is nice, but I would prefer to run 4
Brushland, I just don't have a playset yet.
Brushland (1) - Still working on a playset, but playing what I have. A great dual for this deck, its penalty isn't severe at all, as long as you can get your engine going without using it too much.
Canopy Vista (4) - The Vistas count as both a
Plains
and a
Forest
(making them fetchable).
The Sideboard
Behemoth Sledge (2) - I moved these from main to the sideboard. with 3
Unflinching Courage in the main, I figure I can side them in if evasion becomes critical. They are more flexible but also more mana intensive than
Unflinching Courage.
Choke (1) - Slow down the blue stuff.
Creeping Corrosion
(1) - Bring this in against Affinity decks. I would run 2 in the sideboard if I had another. With the two sledges in the sideboard there is no need to have focused artifact kill.
Elixir of Immortality (1) - Safety net against mill.
Predator's Rapport
(1) - This is a critical component to the deck, so I want the ability to go up to 4.
Oblivion Ring (2) - Broad based solution for permanents (plainswalkers, enchantments, artifacts).
Dismember (2) - Hard creature kill - in a deck with this much life the phyrexian cost is not an issue.
Sheltering Word
(2) - More
based counter for your creatures.
Spellskite (2) - A nice way for this deck to deal with targeted spells you dont like - again, the life cost is negligible.
Alpha Authority (1) - An extra hexproof aura for creature kill heavy opponents.
