First round - R Vehicles
The first game I had to mulligan down to 5 cards as I drew no lands. I was stuck with 3 lands and drew none of my low mana cards apart from Always Watching and a Ondu War Cleric. this lost me the game. He had too much aggro and I could't control the board.
The second was very similar. Mana screwed, he got board conrtol and I couldn't gain it back.
Final score 2-0
I took out Sorin, The Grim Nemisis and Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet and placed in 2 Authority of the Consuls
Second round - B Emerge
The first game I drew Authority of the Consuls in my opening hand as well as 3 Concealed Courtyard. This was a really good hand. By turn 4 I had 2 Kalastria Healer's on the board and a Cliffhaven Vampire. I won on turn 6 due to the fact that I didn't need to attack, I just play a creature and she loses 4 life, and playing 2 creatures a turn.
The second game was a lot like the first, She had no control of the board due to the Authority of the Consuls. By turn 5 I had a solid board about to win and she played Elder Deep-Fiend and shut down my attack. She then drew another on the next attack and left me defensless. Luckily I Gained enough life to survive the hits and swing for a third time and finish it off. But I need to have an answer to this as if my board is tapped down them I can't do anything.
End score 2-0
Third round - B Aetherflux Resourvior
So I had seen this guy play his deck after my first game and the general idea is to get to 50 and kill his opponent. So before the game I took out The Authority of the Consuls and Placed in Kambal, Consul of Allocation. This stopped his life gain almost immediately. He would have to play 3 spells a turn to even gain any life. the game lasted 6 turns before I killed him.
Second game was similar but he played Paradoxical Outcome to return all his 0 mana equipment's to hand and play them again. drawing more cards and playing more spells which ment he could get to 50 easy. He won that game.
The third game I decided to side board in my Lost Legacy, I would use this to remove his Paradoxical Outcome. After I drew one in my starting hand it was gg. I had a solid board by turn 5 and killed him by turn 6.
Final score 2-1
Overall placing - 3rd
If I was to of Put in those Authority of the Consuls before the game I could of maybe won the first round. But that is why we play, to learn these things.
Sorry for long post
