This was one of my favorite standard decks to play from Guilds up until Eldraine (because that's when this deck rotated out almost entirely). It's very simple, put creatures out and turn them sideways. And we can use the Mentor from Tajic, Legion's Edge, Boros Challenger, and Aurelia, Exemplar of Justice to make our creatures bigger. And Aurelia pumps the creatures at the beginning of combat too, as well as other upside.

When I decided to put this deck together, it was essentially my standard deck from Guilds. But when I finally had a chance to play a game of pioneer with it, I felt it didn't do as well as it could have. So I looked through my current standard deck to see what I could add to this one to make it better, and it worked. I took out a few creatures to make space for some burn/removal and made the sideboard a bit better.
