Sideboard

ScapeWish. The most skill-intensive, punishing deck in Nic Fit. Since the Top banning, the deck has gone on to get 10th place at Eternal Weekend 2017, and now the goal is to take it even further in Eternal Weekend 2019 with the printing of Wrenn and Six , Cindervines , and the Jace killer herself: Gruul Spellbreaker .

Since EW 2017 the list has changed quite a bit, but the end goal is still the same. Instead of Nissa, Vastwood Seer  , 3rd Pernicious Deed and finally retiring Nissa, Vital Force for the time being, we've added Gruul Spellbreaker , Eternal Witness , and the Modern Horizons champion Wrenn and Six . Since the printing of Guilds of Ravnica, we flip-flop Abrupt Decay in favor of Assassin's Trophy and vice-versa depending on the state of the format.

If you like casting Scapeshift in Modern, then this not the deck for you.

Updates Add

Greetings! First time I’m physically updating because I just came off of a 2-1 hot streak at a weekly LGS Legacy event. I know the trend this week is to have everyone test out the new kid on the block Wrenn and Six. ScapeWish is no different. I dropped the Nissa, Vital Forces for a more low-end walker that recurs our wasted Duals and Valakuts, can ping opposing targets and our own Vets that Nissa just couldn’t do. Being able to Retrace countered spells and Retrace removal spells is a godsend. If you are interested, I highly recommend trying Wrenn and Six in ScapeWish.

Cheers, —GB
