A Special take on the normal Scarab God Deck. Wins through Necrotic ooze along with Consultation lines. This deck suits those who enjoy:

• Mid-range Control
• Reanimator
• A deck that doesn't depend fully on the commander being out
• Combo

Another thing to mention is that although there is Consultation along with other combos, this deck is not good enough in terms of facing more well-known cedh decks and stax. Although very adaptive due to the usage of creatures in graveyards, cedh is more fast paced and often is too much for this deck to control. Graveyard hate is also becoming more common, so this often will mess with the stability of our reanimation end of the deck.

With that out of the way, It is still decent in terms of controlling with large threats and defending its win condition with the counterspell package it offers. Keep in mind that along with counterspells, it is not an issue to use boardwipes due to Scarab God's death trigger. This allows us to make sure we can still cast Scarab God without the stress of paying commander tax and more targets for Scarab God. Scarab God is also good when fighting out reanimator decks by exiling the most valuable creatures and making tokens of them at instant speed. Remember this because there are times you can win off of other's combo creature pieces. The last big thing is that the Necrotic Ooze and Mesmeric Orb combo are aged combos. This works to our advantage because unless they notice the pieces right away, a lot of the newer players don't see this as a threat.

Overall, Scarab God is very fun to play and is a great challenge. I highly suggest that you give the deck a try and see how you want to play the deck. This version of the deck is good enough and is just at the top of my pod's power level. Feel free to try the list as your own and build the perfect primer for you.
