Mistmeadow Skulk is another one of my favorite early drops. That guy can be a house vs some decks.

Just wanted to say, this deck is awesome, I love it. I have one possible suggestion Knight of the White Orchid, gives you 2 devotion and can pull you out a plains and has first strike!

I also just remembered Rhys the Redeemed he can double your goats in the late game, kinda a pricey card for a casual deck, but he might be worth it.

Hello, silverwolf5o thanks for the vote and for your suggestions. Both of them are good ones. I like the Knight of the White Orchid but since it cannot be tutored up with the Kithkin Harbinger I am going to add it to the maybeboard as an alternative card to the Knight of Meadowgrain slot. It is a great card with that land dig ability. Rhys the Redeemed is kind of a "win more" card in that it will simply up the number of goats I have. But if I am already packing some goats, I might be in winning mode anyways. It also is not tutor-able with the harbinger. I will add it too as an alternative card. And yes, it is a little pricey for casual stuff but it still rocks.

As fun as the deck is to play, it might be a little slow for competitive Modern and you would need a serious sideboard setup. Thanks for the comment, RandomGenesis

My first deck was a Red/White goat deck. I ran Soul Warden and Soul's Attendant, and focused more on the life gain effects (Ajani's Pridemate was a real threat). You're flying/blink creatures are something I wish I had thought of.

Hey again, i have decided to build a budget version of this and one of my choices was to use Phalanx Leader you just bounce him he triggers before he leaves and puts counters on all your goats.

thanks qweer! Glad you like the deck! silverwolf5o that guy is great! He helps with chroma/devotion and getting counters on your goats if you blink him is awesome. You could run a set of them and skip the anthem cards, ajani and the artifacts. Great card alternative! I am adding it to the maybeboard!

Ah! Where is your Venser, the Sojourner! Such a good card. Also, all hail the goat token! +1 Check out my goat deck from a long time ago Can I Marry Your Daughter? Fun times.

Hi wolfging! Venser would be good but kind of felt I would be winning off of him instead of the goats so I would rather keep him out just for flavor. I added a comment to your deck too. I upvoted it a long time ago so could not add a +1 this time. Great story for the deck.

gotta run more removal to get rid of the Goatnappers!
November 23, 2015 7:11 p.m.
Naw, a Goatnapper can have a goat, he's not going to do much with a 0/1 token on his side. Especially if playing red.

With all the kithkin you're running, have you considered Cloudgoat Ranger? +1 for goats!
March 12, 2016 1:58 p.m.
Hello kornsyrup. Thank you for your suggestion of the Cloudgoat Ranger. When i first put the deck together I had 2 of those in the deck as the finishers. Blinking them builds an army really fast. But they actually kind of pulled the theme away from goats and more into producing a Kithkin Swarm. And there are other, better shells to go that route. I wanted to keep it as fully based around the goat tokens as possible. So I replaced them with Nobilis of War. Not only are there goats in the art but it gives a bonus to your goats which keeps it with the theme a little better. And just look at that flavor text:
"...a long and terrible battle, the most exquisite delicacy."

As someone who used to play Tribal Goats in standard (Such good days) I gotta say you are forgetting the best goat in the game, Mirror Entity
March 15, 2016 1:28 a.m.
Thanks for suggesting the Mirror Entity, JohnnyCrass. It is an excellent card. Though it may not work for this deck. I am going to add it to the maybeboard and get a couple copies and then playtest with them in instead of 2 of the anthem effects. I like that it can be tutored for with the Kithkin Harbinger but it's pump ability seems just a win more kind of thing. I will get some and try it out though. Might be great. Thanks again.

Phenomenal idea! The inspiration is great with this one.

Thank you. I haven't touched this in years. But it remains one of my all time favorite decks to win with. Kithkin and Goats!
I should take a look to see if there are any new upgrades. The deck pretty much crushes games but if anyone has advice on improvements I am always open to testing them in the deck.

Hmmm... well this isn't recent but I feel like Mirror Entity would be absolutely hilarious here for pumping goats out of nowhere. I don't recall any recent goat cards over the last few years but there may be something!

@McToters; Thank you for the suggestion! I can try dropping Ajani Goldmane and giving this a spin. I like that it can get tutored up with the Kithkin Harbinger. I also like it can be a mana sink for Springjack Pasture. And if I have mana and even 1 goat gets through I can pump the heck out of it. I like Ajani's vigilance add but this might win me more games. Might be worth more copies of it in the deck. Definitely will try it out!

@Balaam__; Thank you for alerting me to the link issue. I found a 2nd one since the source of the link does not exist anymore. Good Looking Out!

MagicMarc you check out my list for this deck at my account. Iroas, God of Victory makes for a hilarious affect on my goats.
