The big win cons are general elf win con cards. Elvish Archdruid & Ezuri, Renegade Leader combo very well using Elvish Archdruid to get a mana for each elf to trigger Ezuri, Renegade Leader 's buff (preferably multiple times) to buff up your elves and swing out. Another simple win con that is specifically Golgari elves is using Shaman of the Pack to trigger an instant win with cards like Dwynen's Elite and Llanowar Elves and other one mana dorks to fill the battlefield too fast to wipe out. early on you want to play your regular dorks, Nettle Sentinel , and Heritage Druid to both fill out the battlefield and ramp your mana using Heritage Druid 's ability and tapping Nettle Sentinel 's for the tapping to cast spells triggering Nettle Sentinel to untap on cast. If you need specific creatures you can use Chord of Calling to hunt them down with the low cost of 3 being the highest creature it is easy to get them onto the battlefield instantly.

When side boarding you need to consider what your foe is using. Abrupt Decay is both for general artifact and combo piece creature counters. However if you are looking for responses to creatures Fracturing Gust is very good due to its mono color nature, and Golgari Charm is slightly more flexible. Heroic Intervention & Damping Sphere are good for burn and control countering making it harder to successfully cast spells targeting your creatures and in the case of Damping Sphere slowing them down without really affecting you. Reclamation Sage and Abrupt Decay are best against artifact decks destroying their combo pieces before they do anything. Relic of Progenitus and Scavenging Ooze are both to counter graveyard play at instant speed killing combo and combo retrieval capability. Your Elvish Visionary 's, dorks, and maybe Chord of Calling 's are the cards you want to consider swapping out for sideboard.

B/G Elves are good against heavy creature based decks and control.

Elves are extremely bad against Burn and other spell slinger decks.

Elves against infect is a flip of the coin in my experience having a 50/50 win rate.
