Sideboard

First of I'm going to admit that everyone hates being matched up against a Esper deck. It's the most successful deck in my meta right now so I'm trying out my variant.

Instants:

4xSphinx's Revelation- Life-gain and card draw wrapped up in a UUWX instant spell. The best card draw in Standad until rotation.

4xDissolve- What's a blue deck, check that ,what's a control deck without a few counters. Not to mention scry 1 to boot.

2x Syncopate - Still following the previous statement another counter is great. UX is a good counter since it exiles also taking care of decks that utilize graveyards.

3xHero's Downfall- This baby has become a stable removal spell since it's a simple BB1 and can target a creature or planeswalker.

2xSilence the Believers- This is to take care of pesky gods that were unlucky enough to get devotion. This also targets auras on creatures making enchantment creatures leave with their friend. We have the mana to utilize the B2 strive along with the BB2 base cost.

Sorceries:

4XSupreme Verdict- The board hate is here. Sweet, simple, and most importantly uncounterable making all aggro/midrange decks cower when there is UWW1 open.

3xThoughtseize- Hand control for a turn one or two to disrupt someone's plans. Sure you lose two life but its that or deal with what you're removing.

Enchantments:

4xDetention Sphere- WU1 is amazing since it has name hate. It can back fire when we target planeswalker, but other than that it has a type of removal that almost no deck has a solution for in its mainboard.

Artifact:

1xElixir of Immortality- This is just to get back our spells if the game drags on too long. Worst case is gives 5 life when you're in a pinch.

Planeswalkers:

2xAshiok, Nightmare Weaver- Ashiok is deck hate.

(+2)-Opponents no longer have a use for scrying since it will just be exiled along with two other cards. This also accelerates the clock not to mention gets fuel for the minus ability.

(-X)- Ashiok brings back the exiled creatures as a beings from nightmares. (Pun intended) This allows Ashiok to protect itself while putting free threats on board.

(-10)- Exiles all cards from your opponents' hands and their graveyards. This fuels Ashiok's second ability and devastates any deck.

3xJace,-Archetict-of-Thought- One of the best cards in standard, filling a control role flawlessly.

(+1)- A -1/0 to all attacking opponent's creatures until your next turn. This prevents a lot of damage prevention while making Jace a damage sponge. It ruins aggro decks tempo allowing you to stall for removal.

(-2)- A renewable card draw source. It varies depending on the stack but in the midrange to late game you take the larger pile unless you're searching for a solution. These cards are revealed but it doesn't really hurt you.

(-8)- Search through all players' decks and take out one card. Now cast that card for free, well what's not to love about this.

2xElspeth, Sun's Champion- This is a minion maker, monster killer, and overall a versatile planeswalker.

(+1)- Three 1/1 soldiers almost every turn is instant board presence and threat.

(-3)- Destroy all four power or greater creatures.

(-7)- You get an emblem with "Creatures you control get +2/+2 and have flying." While it isn't really used it can be a game finisher when applied at the correct time.

Sideboard:

1xDeicide- This is against a deck that runs a god in it's strategy or just if there is a lot of enchantments being used against you. The secondary effect lets you view the opponents hand and library. This lets you know what power cards they sideboarded in against you along with the basic concept of their deck.

1xDispel- A U to get rid of a Hero's Downfall or Sphinx's Revelation, that is pure value.

2xDuress- Throw these bad boys in against control to butcher their hand along with Thoughtseize.

4xNightveil Specter- Just to show repercussions for what sideboarding most of your removal out does. It steals cards out from under your opponent making it possible to get a 5th Sphinx's Revelation.

2xGlare of Heresy- This deals with Detention Sphere,Elspeth, Sun's Champion, Banishing Light, and much more.

2xNegate- This reinforces the counter statement from earlier.

1xThoughtseize- An additional one.

1xUltimate Price- Just for a little extra removal.

1xAEtherling- The untouchable shapeshifter. Opponents hate it when they board out all removal just to have this deadly man resolve. Even if they keep removal he blinks off the damage or destruction. Oh no your opponent somehow has board presence lets make AEtherling unblockable and a 8/1 a swing, then before the end of the turn blink him to where he is untapped and a blocker that can become a 1/8 if needed or blink before damage to negate it all over again.

I am not planning on running 4xGodless Shrinefoil, but have been debating on running Banishing Light.
