Welcome to my Punish/Lifegain deck built around the theme of sacrificial/indirect/damage.
Athreos, God of Passage works incredibly well with the entire deck theme of life stealing while also letting me keep any creatures that die of natural means.
Blood Artist
+
Dictate of Erebos
+
Fleshbag Marauder
are a very good combo to use to board wipe while also taking away abit of health and gain some aswell.
Exquisite Blood + Sanguine Bond
make a pretty nice death combo to gain a large portion of health while taking it away to destroy an opponent.
Some kill cards being the obvious Debt to the Deathless, Combining with Vizkopa Guildmage or Exquisite Blood + Sanguine Bond
Mayking a ridiculous health gain kill on an opponent.
Things like Children of Korlis and Soul Warden are there for the early pinch damage and nice bit of lifegain. Children of Korlis is a great wall, especially against something like trample as you can sacrifice it imeditaley to effectively lose 0 life.
Karlov of the Ghost Council is meant to just sort of build up early game if I get him to take away damage if the deck happens to be going slow, any things that can help protect him that would still work well within the deck would be very helpful.
shambling vents just and alright mann land that will probably get replaced as soon as I come across something better. Westvale Abbey
will be in there for the nice big monster kill and it allows me to activate some nice sacrificing abilities aswell.
Path to Exile and Tragic Slip obviously being there to get rid of anything that could be threatening me.
Wurmcoil Engine is just a ridiculous card with all the death and then the fact Athreos, God of Passage allows me to just keep continuing the cycle of token and sacrificing production. Zulaport Cutthroat and Rhox Faithmender are only here as filler atm and one of the set will be replaced by wurmcoil once I can afford it. The other set I could use some reccomendations. Erebos and Shriekmaw are in the sideboard as tooo deal with some friends decks that are very annoying.
Anything that you could reccomend to change about this deck while still staying within the theme of the deck is very much appreciated. Thanks for checking out my deck!
