Sideboard

Token deck. Wants to get Purphoros, God of the Forge out as soon as possible to make use of the token generation. Izzet Staticaster and Ral Zarek are used to needle the hornet nest and create bees.

Win Condition:Purphoros - his presence causes crazy situations for the opponent. He turns the Hornet Queen into a 10 damage bomb, punishes an opponent when they recklessly run into the Hornet Nest, and really gives the opponent a catch 22 when they are forced to deal with a beefed up Chasm Skulker. Hour of Need is in the sideboard (until I can find room for them in the main deck, maybe in place of the Zameck Guildmage ?) for additional damage possibilities. He's a swiss army knife of pain in this deck.

Master Biomancer - Without Purphoros (he's not out or the victim of an unfortunate and ill-intentioned Deicide ), the biomancer beefs up the tokens so that they can get the job done themselves. It gets really painful when you get a second one out.

Staticasters are staying and it is the Vorels that I am removing. I only made use of them once the entire night at FNM and that was just for gravy. Replacing them with two Volcanic Geyser. That should give me a means to take out a big threat or help overcome a stalemate of some kind. With Xenagos and the tokens, there remains the possibility of creating a surprise ending to the match as well. It gives me quite a few more options than Vorel does, so we'll see how this goes.

Adjustment: Moving the Volcanic Geyser to the sideboard along with one Setessan Tactics and mainboarding the Mizzium Mortar. Also, removing one Psychic Spiral and both Life Legacy for Mistcutter Hydra. Last week, the tie I experiences was from a U/W control deck, so the Hydras would have helped there. Mainboarding the mortars because they were so useful that they should be in the starting lineup. The only reason the Spirals are in the sideboard is that there are a few mill decks common at the shop I play FNM at. Outside of there, I would remove them for something more useful.
