Mono Red (Standard MTG Deck)

I went 2-1-1 last FNM, but almost ended up 2-0-2. The main issue with my deck's changes came in the form of lacking mainboard removal. When I side boarded cards in, I was easily able to handle threats, but aggressive decks with larger creatures proved to be too durable for me to take down.

Likewise, I had less of a need for large creatures if the form of Goblin Chainwhirler and Rekindling Phoenix. I've decided to move a copy Goblin Chainwhirler to the sideboard and remove Rekindling Phoenix entirely.

I also noticed that Heartfire was a very effective removal and damage spell, but that it wasn't quite mainboard levels of good. It was very effective against larger creatures, and particularly useful when paired with Tibalt, Rakish Instigator. I've decided to move Heartfire to the sideboard.

I added two copies of Wizard's Lightning back into the mainboard, and moved Ghitu Lavarunner back up to a playset.
