This mono-black devotion build is pretty straight forward. Early one and two drops to build devotion count, lots of zombies and graveyard effects, Aether Vial and Cavern of Souls to bypass counterspells, and Grey Merchant for the win. Also, suffer the past for a nice graveyard removail/lifegain/damage combo and isn't it fun to throw a Phyrexian Obliterator at an attacking creature?

Sideboard plan is a complete swap-out that effectively changes the deck into a viable aggro deck.

Board in - ALL

Board out - At your discretion depending on the match-up. I opt to choose from the following cards: Lili, Inquisition, Thoughtseize, AEther Vial, Suffer the past, Phyrexian Obliterator, and Geralf's Messenger. Basically, keep your lower CMC creatures, removal, and card drawing abilities.
