Budget makes things tough. Heir of the Wilds is a good 2 drop deathtouch that can make good tradeoffs, and is running pretty cheap.

Try for 8-ish manaramp creatures if you're going with green. Max out on Elvish Mystic to max your odds of a turn 1 ramp. Get more Rattleclaw Mystic or Sylvan Caryatid if you can manage it. Voyaging Satyr is a decent budget mana dork, that pairs well with Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx if you're leaning heavily on one color for devotion.

I'd get away from more of the morph effects and focus on things to beat down your opponent. Kheru Spellsnatcher is neat ... but it's a 6-drop to get the counter, which hurts, and leaves you with a piddly 3/3 during the endgame. It's better just to have a Disdainful Stroke in your hand that late in the game. I'd lose the Dragon's Eye Savants and Monastery Flock and go for more offense. You don't want to be playing defense unless you have to, and even then you want to be able to turn it around quickly. Keep an eye on Savage Knuckleblade - 4/4 with a great feature package for 3 mana can't be beat. And the prices on him are going down while everybody else is overlooking Temur at the moment.

If you can bear to move away from the morph and towards the attack, that's going to open up a lot of avenues for you. I'd go less morph and more straight burn in the red. Fast damage spells that target creature or player can also do damage to planeswalkers. Gives you options to remove threats, blockers or opponent's life. Can't deny the basic Lightning Strike . Magma Jet lets you scry 2, which can be a help. Crater's Claws is awesome burn when you've got big beastlies to go with it, and is a good finisher for a lot of games.

You need some more beaters, invest in a Stormbreath Dragon , Pearl Lake Ancient , Mistcutter Hydra , Hydra Broodmaster , or Hooded Hydra .

In order to win games, you need to actually have a way to win, you only have 4 total cards that can deal more than 5 points of damage in a turn, and they aren't very consistent. Personally, if you want to go with the "morph" theme, buy a playset of Hooded Hydra s, it will provide the much needed board-state. To find a home for it, take out the Pine Walker , both Embodiment of Spring s, and a Kheru Spellsnatcher . The pine walker is just a 5/5 for 5, nothing special, the embodiment's take up unnecessary ramp, find better 1-drop creatures, and the spellsnatcher costs way too much as a counterspell.

Finally (sorry for the comments), the Hydra is only $2.50 each, or $10.00 for the playset, easily within budget.

Thank you Sauron_ and Vasagi for you suggestions. I've been learning as well, and I've already been making some changes. I got one more Elvish Mystic , and the only reason I didn't get a second was because they only had one left - I will be maxing them out, and hopefully get at least one more Rattleclaw Mystic . Embodiment of Spring is nice, but thinking about it now, I'm realizing that it's too slow. I'm also looking at dropping the Rugged Highlands , Thornwood Falls & Tomb of the Spirit Dragon and replacing them with Evolving Wilds and just more Forest . The nice thing about the deck is generic mana works just fine, and I think the entering in tapped is really hurting me.

I see what you mean about my damage dealers. I tried to focus on defense until I could get more out, but I think you're right, I don't have more. I could add hitters like Stormbreath Dragon , Pearl Lake Ancient , Mistcutter Hydra , Hydra Broodmaster & Savage Knuckleblade , but that would really get away from the morph mechanic. I could very easily turn this into a powerful attacker deck with these, but I want to try to make the morph aspect viable first. To that end, I'd probably replace some of the deck with more Sagu Mauler and Hooded Hydra cards, reducing Pine Walker and one of the Kheru Spellsnatcher (I do like the idea of having at least one in there).

Disdainful Stroke , Lightning Strike , & Magma Jet are all going to find homes in the revised deck. Crater's Claws will be in there if I can find any. I'm also planning on added some Jeering Instigator and possibly either 1-2 Kruphix, God of Horizons or Prophet of Kruphix , as both would greatly increase the playability of my morph triggers. Any thoughts on this?

for budget, you could go Heroes' Bane , Bow of Nylea and Surrak Dragonclaw . makes a pretty beastly creature quick, when you have the mana, which shouldnt be a problem with all the green ramp possibilities

Looks nice, but If you're going for morph, why not max out trail and Plans? They're pretty incredible...

trf6, I'm still fiddling with the totals on those. My sideboard is in flux, I think any extras would find a home there at a minimum. I really just need to play it more to find the right balance; I'm not sure what I'd take out to put them in at this point. If you have suggestions, I'm more than open to them.

I wouldn't run Courser of Kruphix beacuse its pretty expensive and it would reveal your morphs.

Speedy4460 I concur. Only reason it's in the maybe pile is because of it's general usefulness

Great minds think alike. I have a very similar deck... with a very similar name lol.

+1! I like it :U

Check out my version of this over here at Morphin Time-Temur. You might want to thing about Prophet of Kruphix.

I keep taking the Prophet of Kruphix in and out, playing around with it.

November 18, 2014 1:22 p.m.

I just don't like Courser because he gives too much information to ur opponent by showing him, which morph you will draw, which is crucial imo. Trail of Mystery is allready filtering your deck so 1st the land drops wont be that kjind of an deal for you to hit and 2nd the courser won't hit that often, when the enchantment is active. I would sugest you using Ghostfire Blade as it is +2+2 for 1 for an morph.

The Courser of Kruphix are more of a place holder for more Sylvan Caryatid, which I don't currently have. I tested Ghostfire Blade extensively, but just found that more often than not it slows the deck down. I've considered replacing them with Elvish Mystic in the build though.

Quickling is a fantastic way to enhance your bounce potential. You can return cards like Icefeather Aven and Rattleclaw Mystic to your hand to replay their effects.

jkr97e I like that idea! I'm going to have to see if I can work that in somehow.

Hey this is IzzetFanatic we talked about your deck on the untaped chat. I think you should have 2 total dissolve mainboard. and 2 total distainfulstroke mainboard. you should also have 1to 2 Keru spell snature in the side

December 28, 2014 11:51 p.m.

I just built a different version of this based on your decklist here. +1!! It beats my jeskai token combo so far, but I do not know about the other decks. I will get back to you on that.

Major difference is that I have +2 Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker and Ghostfire Blade

chaoticmcunited Thanks! I've had pretty good success with it. I've taken out Ghostfire Blade in favor of burn and counter, and Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker doesn't play nicely with See the Unwritten (well, except his +1 actually, hmm) but that's a moot point since I don't have any sarkhan :(. Nice to know great minds think alike though!

I only have 1 at the moment. As for the sideboard, mine is a bit different. I can either board in total control, or I can cut out m control and change the deck to agro. It is a different approach you may want to consider.

The only 5 cards in my sideboard that are 100% keepers are Fade into Antiquity and Windstorm. still fine tuing the others.

January 1, 2015 1:33 p.m.

I would play Reclamation Sage over fade. It is a creature card and can be used as a blocker in addition to being the same as fade.

January 1, 2015 2:56 p.m.

piebandit says... #24

Reclamation Sage doesn't handle god cards

January 1, 2015 8:45 p.m.
