Wastes isn't banned. It's simply not standard-legal. It is not in a currently standard-legal set, and is therefore not legal to play with.
TL;DR Forest is still inferior to Island.

Feel like you're not making the best use of your sideboard; maybe a Forest or two?

Can not believe how consistent this deck's opening hands are. I don't wanna be that guy who blames the London Mulligan but seriously, I was able to draw into all of my combo pieces with frightening regularity.

Forest is inferior to island. Look at the streamer showdowns. Island keeps showing up with a vengeance

What are the chances I'm listening to Long Distance Runaround when I happen across this beauty... Just to be safe, I think it would be a good idea to sideboard a snow-covered forest.

I also just realized that your forests are no longer standard legal. Maybe some of those full art Theros lands?

squonk76 that moment when BASICS are illegal. Anyways, they were too overpowered. A Black Lotus that stays around??? OP.

squonk76 The irony. I was listening to Roundabout when I made this deck.

This is the most remarkably affordable deck I've ever seen, and, what's more, it's not going to rotate out for quite some time. Highly recommend this for anyone trying to get a good gateway into standard.

Honestly wizards should take note of some of the cards used in this deck. They're bordering on ban worthy territory

Have you considered adding more Forests for the mill matchup?

Good choice with the plains in the sideboard though.

KorandAngels Forests are extremely busted cards and they probably need to be banned. This deck, YES, is just a better version of a Vintage deck except it's somehow legal in Standard.

Yes, but even though the Forests are very strong (Allegedly), I don't see any reason for them to be so prevalent in this deck. I also don't see any win conditions or answers.
June 2, 2020 5:34 p.m.
KorandAngels fool. No answers?? The strength behind Agent of Treachery is that it can take lands. This is literally the perfect answer to one of the strongest cards right now. You can immediately recast that which is stolen. In fact, it was just banned earlier today. Furthermore, the win condition is the opponent conceding, which occurs very often, with so many strong cards all in one deck.

Death927, this deck made my day. A perfectly balanced work of art, with so much more strength than a $1,000 deck. Although I'll have to recommend, you need to add some more forests to the sideboard. XD

I feel like maybe switching Forest for a Forest or even a Forest if you were feeling like throwing caution to the wind. In the end though I think the real finishing power is going to come from the combo of dropping a Forest on turn one and following it with a Forest on turn two.

Skyler1776: wastes aren't actually "banned" in standard. they're just not in a set that is currently standard legal. they've rotated out.
