Sideboard

This is my up-to-date -Tron Decklist...

As an explanation for the current build, I run two Slaughter Games as a go-to for combo matches, which usually just means a round loss for Tron otheriwse. The reason that this is possible is because I run G-R Tron, which means that I only need to get a out of anyone of my Stars or Spheres, since the can come from Grove. Other forms of Tron will have more trouble casting this, but I run it because it helps most of the truly bad matchup's for the deck.

The Warping Wails are for against Infect or Burn, as creature removal or counter magic, and more importantly, against the mirror match, in case of Crumbles, upon resolution forces a scoop. I also bring it in against Scapeshift, as it does counter the deck's namesake, Scapeshift, which is usually a bad match up for Tron as well.

The one Crumble in my sideboard is for one reason and one reason only: The mirror match. If this spell resolves against any true Tron deck, they usually just concede, and move on to the next game. I have also heard the argument for this card being brought in against a few other decks, such as affinity or infect, both of which abuse Blinkmoth and Inkmoth to finish a game out. I don't agree with this argument, as the card itself is far too slow to ever be of any use in those particular matchups. That is also the reason I only run a one of, is because it is only ever useful in the mirror match.

And finally, the last actual decision that I made for my sideboard is to go with Relic over some other form of grave hate, such as Grafdigger's. This is because of it's utility against multiple decks, besides the few obvious ones of instant reanimator or more commonly dredge. I also bring it in agaist any deck with Goyf in it, as it digs and buys me time whenever I crack it, or against red-deck-wins style aggro decks, to help accelerate my draw a little further, and even against mono-blue Tron, to stop their infinite Mindslaver lock.

Apart from that, the only real difference is that I subbed out a second Spellskite in favor of a Cavern of Souls, for those more control counter matches.

The biggest most recent changes/improvements are the substitutions of both the World Breakers and Ulamogs, in place of the super late game Emrakul, and a fourth Wurmcoil. This is for more control-based gameplay, which favors Breaker and Ulamog, due to their on cast removal.

I am currently also trying out Planar Bridge in the deck. This is because it seems like a solid replacement for Eye of Ugin which used to provide a great deal of late game insurance until it got banned. As a card it plays fairly slow, so it's usually near the top of cards to be boarded out in most of Tron's bad matches, however, it solidifies the strong matches in such a heavy-handed fashion that it definitely seems worth running. I only run the one of because it is slow, and a legendary permanent, which means it does nothing in multiples, and while this is also true of the walkers of the deck, Karn and Ugin, they usually end up dying after a few uses of their minus abilities, and are also the real win conditions of the deck. Also, the more Bridges that you put in, the fewer viable targets they have to find.

Updates Add

I added a Planar Bridge to the deck, in favor of a fourth Firespout, as an attempt at the late game power that Eye of Ugin used to bring to the deck before getting banned.

Additionally, I dropped all of the Chokes from the sideboard, as they were to slow, and specific, and put in another Wail.

I also swapped a few cards between main and sideboard for some fine tweaking.
