I've been wanting to try Kogla. It seems good w/ Eternal Witness.

DecadeFire you mean with kamahl ;) Yeah Kogla will be my next update. It is a better Somberwald Stag, so I will swap the two. Little sad of reducing the number of 5-drops but it is an obvious choice. It fights and lets us protect kamahl and recur Eternal Witness. Auto include.

Good job on reading my mind :)

Replacing Serpopard is rough. I don't know if I can do it. With the addition of more elves in the deck, Freyalise might be a good consideration. At worst she's an inefficient Naturalize, on average she spits out useful mana dorks, and at best she does a fun impression Regal Force. But I just love PWs. Kogla has been awesome in my testing! Keep up the great work. Love this deck.

DecadeFire this is why I want to insert Gaea's Herald, an anti counter card fetchable with Skyshroud Poacher

I don't know about Freyalise, Llanowar's Fury: it costs 5, cannot be tutored, seems very underpowered. But if you love PWs then I think you should run it :)

Thanks for the comment and the feedback, I really appreciate it!

Have you seen the newly spoiled Allosaurus Shepherd? Definitely replacing the cat snake in my deck.

DecadeFire I saw that card some days ago! I was going to use Gaea's Herald since it synergizes with Skyshroud Poacher, but apparently WotC gave us with a far better card :) Looking forward to use it!

I knew Allosaurus Shepherd was going in! I actually have been messing around with removing STE, but I've been messing around with putting in Priest of Titania. We have almost 15 elves, so it feels like we're almost in the area where we can get some hefty mana with it. I've also wanted to add Elder Gargaroth because it's a rediculous 5 drop and we're pretty light (for fetch chains) in that slot. But I'm gritting my teeth about removing the Henge. It's just so good, but I definitely get the argument for it.

I know that Henge is good, but so is all our stuff! Same reasoning works for Priest: it's good, but is it better than anything else? Would you fetch for it when you coul get a better effect casting Natural Order for Nyxbloom Ancient? Like I always say: 99 cards are too few!

Have you been testing out new Zendikar Rising cards yet? I recently replaced Terastodon with Ancient Greenwarden and made room for a Scute Swarm. I went down in the basic Snow Forest and added in two more fetches to help buff up the Landfall theme. In my testing so far, Scute is disgusting. Especially when paired with a Kamahl or a Craterhoof. It gives us a new win condition by going really wide if unchecked. Definitely check it out!

DecadeFire thank you for the advice!

About swapping Terastodon for Ancient Greenwarden, I am a little doubtful: the latter does a Panharmonicon effect that I don't see particularly relevant in Kamahl. The former, on the other hand, it's a green multiple removal tool that can deal with problematic cards, like stax pieces or damage-preventing tools like Glacial Chasm

Scute Swarm seems very powerful in a pure-aggro style of commander. I suppose this strategy could be viable depending on the meta. I usually play against midrange/combo decks, therefore I don't actually need another tool to further push the aggro plan.

I am about to write another update related to Zendikar Rising cards, and I can give a spoiler here: it will need some other 20+ games to be confirmed, but it is highly likely that I will add Ashaya, Soul of the Wild to the 99. With Kamahl in play, you can go infinite with Quirion Ranger / Scryb Ranger and an animated Gaea's Cradle. This is so cool and broken that some times it didn't even feel fair lol. Like always, I do not make change until I played at least 100 games, therefore I will let you know soon :)

You're probably right about my Terastodon choice. I've just recently been through a number of games where it basically got stuck in my hand, so when I was looking to test out Scute and Warden, it got the axe. What can I say, I'm petty.

Looking forward to your update!

Only thing I would change is removing the Mox Diamond so people don't complain about it being banned list for EDH. Otherwise it looks like a really awesome deck to run

Halastat Mox Diamond isn't banned in EDH, so no problems at all.

Cariddis any new updates on the list?

Halastat like DecadeFire said, Mox Diamond is definitely not banned.

DecadeFire I have been testing yavimaya lately and also figuring out if Circle of Dreams Druid is worth it. I will post about it tomorrow :)

Have you tried out Circle of Dreams Druid, Saryth, the Viper's Fang, or Augur of Autumn from the newest sets? In my testing, the druid has been good but almost always an instant target in my playgroup. With our creature density, Augur seemed good but I think we have way too many 1/1s for it to really shine any other time it seems like an okay back up Oracle of Mul Daya. Lastly, Saryth has put in a surprising amount of work the handful of times I've played. It makes all of our dorks scary in combat and helps protect them when you're holding up for mana.

Hi DecadeFire ad everyone, sorry I had to be absent for a while :)

I tried Circle of Dreams Druid and IMO it is too slow for its cost. Better to have Priest of Titania and leave it at that. Of course, if you cannot allow yourself a Gaea's Cradle then for sure you should run this as a budget option.

Saryth, the Viper's Fang doesn't do anything for this list that is particularly needed, especially at 4 CMC. I think the current list has all the 4 drop slots already crammed with the best options.

Also, Augur of Autumn feels like a worse Vizier of the Menagerie, who is not in the least for the same reasoning as above regarding 4 drops.

You know what makes our 1/1 really scary in combat? Our commander ;)

Cariddis not sure if you're still playing Kamahl, but I recently added Silverback Elder in place of Elder Gargaroth and it's been pretty good in my last few games. It's more mid-rangey and you've moved to a more aggressive build but I think it's worth looking into. I also tried Defiler of Vigor for a few games with this vision of bouncing free elves in my head but most of my table saw it as an immediate threat each time. Might be worth looking into. Hope you're doing alright!

I am all right and still testing ;) yeah I tried those too and I think I m going to update the deck accordingly very soon!
